Belpre ALWAYS plays NY extremely tuff :!: Even in years when Belpre was down and NY had some pretty talented teams, the Eagles were right there in the fight.

The Buckeyes are winning, but it is taking every ounce of effort and every second on the clock in order to get it done.

This will be no different.......... All 4 quarters :!:

Good Luck Buckeyes ;-)

Week 3 Berne Union 28 - Ny 14
Scrimmage Aug 16th Belpre 4 tds Berne Union 1 td.
This game is being played on Friday and the other games against common opponents mean nothing.Belpre has to eliminate its turnovers and their coaches need to realize that they won't get arrested for passing on 1st or 2nd down instead of running Ashton up the middle on every series. Ashton is a great back but he can't be expected to run effectively when the whole world knows he is coming up the middle on 1st and 2nd down. I look for belpre to play a better game against NY and possibly pull the upset.

This game is huge. Last year Belpre beat the Buckeyes and kept them from claiming their 5th straight outright league title.

This is a must win for Belpre if they hope to at least get a piece of the title in '08 (doubtful that any team with 2 league losses will have a shot).

Should be a great game. With the Buckeyes controling their own destiny, the whole league will be rooting against them..................................... BUT what else is new ;-)

One thing I can tell you. No matter what the record, NEVER count Belpre out. Buckeyes travel to Belpre and play the Eagles this week and they need to be prepaired to play a top game to come out of Belpre with a win. Too much Tradition in the Belpre football program to ever take them lightly. Good luck to the Buckeyes. Prepare hard for a very good Belpre team.

Week 6 is upon us and I am still waiting for NY to get out of the gate and play the type of game that they have played in the second half all year. If they continue to play uninspired football in the first half they may find themselves in a position where they can't pull it off in the 4th quarter. This would not be the week to have another slow start.

I completely agree about the Buckeyes needing to start better. I mean it is a great thing knowing that you have the ability to come back from adversity and being down on the score board, but you don't want to get to the point that you are COUNTING on it every week.

Don't get me wrong, it is a powerful ability to have (the ability to come from behind) but, I would love to see the kids come out with the same intensity in the begining that they have been showing at the end of games.

I don't know how much more my heart can take, but a win is a win, and I am thrilled to have each and every one of them ;-)

Interesting fact, 6 of Belpre's 15 wins against Nelsonville were at Nelsonville. How does that match up against other teams records while playing in Nelsonville?

10 of 23 Nelsonville wins have came at Belpre.

Both teams play tough on the other teams field.

Belpre must eliminate the turnovers to stay in this game. Otherwise, the Buckeyes get the win.

DRILL THE VILLE!!!

I love the honesty. The way Wellston is playing if the Buckeyes slip up it Rockets could get a share. I would root the same way. Buckeyes control their own fate. Belpre plays very good at home. Ny needs to bring the intensity from play one till the final whistle. Good luck Buckeyes!
