Trap game. West is coming off a big win and has Burg next week. West needs to come out, execute, take care of business, and come out injury free.

blue and fido...you guys are both right.

Valley would love nothing more than to play spoiler in the SOC II.

West needs to stay focused and not look ahead.
Knowing how Coach Tripp is...he'll be ready for the Indians.

The only thing standing between West and a victory is looking ahead to week 10 and the Pirates.
After have played both teams West SHOULD dominate.

I look for West to pickup the win....fairly easily but I know Valley is going to come out and play some football, and the Indians beat West last year, so maybe mentally they will think they can stay with West.

tigers2010; How bad did West beat Waverly? I never saw the score?I know you cant compare scores, but Valley handled Waverly pretty easy...

49-0 west vs. waverly coop, I agree with you, West should win this match up. But it was this team that beat West last year.
You never know, that's why they play the game. But I do think it'll be a slobber knocking good game. Not the blow out that some are predicting or hoping for. There is a difference in cheering or talking up your team, and a more realistic objective view.

FIDO, I got the old man back from his vacation if you know what I mean. I picked up a couple dz cold refreshments, with Valley having homecoming got me thinking about "royalty" ;-) when she was being "crowned" ;-) , have a brisket in the frig. soaking up some love, ready for an all day smoking. My rule is though, you can't lift the lid until you have a dz cool aids down first. Invite is open.

FIDO (Forget It Drive On) wrote:What?

We haven't played Minford and no one on this board/site has said Valley is going to beat West. In fact, I said West was clearly a 3 TD favorite.

I know you are screwing around so I won't go any farther than this.

screw you

The definition of a "Trap Game" here, but I look for West to come away with the win but Valley will keep it close in the first half. Good Luck boys and have a good week of practice.

Valley has a pretty good set of DE's and I think that Valley Dline will give west fits for awhile. Then it could get ugly. Valley hurting at LBs for this game. West cutbacks in the running game are very good and NOBODY has stopped their oline from getting out of the box and putting a body on the opposing LBs. That is why they are running so good. Not one dline has stopped the West oline from getting out and blocking LBs thus creating big gaps on cutback runs. Valley wont be any different. Valley offense needs to pass pass pass to win. If they cant get a passing game going, West rolls.
