Congrats To The West Senators

Congrats to the West Senators on their victory tonight over the Wheelersburg Pirates. Coach Triplett, his staff and the players are to be commended on winning the SOC and finishing with a 10-0 regular season record. Special congrats to Alfie and Travis.

The offensive line from West constantly moved the defenders from Burg and created running room for Swords and Pendleton. On defense, other than one play, West controlled the line and made it very difficult for the Pirates to move the ball. The only weakness I saw tonight was the kicking game and I think the weather had much to do with that part of the game.

Yes, congrats to the Senators on their hard fought victory. It didn't come as easily as some predicted, but they did what they needed to do to win the game and they are definitely the real deal and the best the Pirates have faced all seaosn. They controled the LOS of scrimmage, scored on long drives, controled the clock, and played great defense. Other than the one long run by Craigmiles they pretty much shut down the Burgs rushing attack. Tyler had 60 yards on the TD run and the radio said the Burg had 118 total rushing yards.

Also a big congrats to the Pirates on a very fine 9-1 season. I don't think many people gave them a chance of winning more than 6 games this year with their schedule and their youth, but they pulled it together and had a very fine season. Great job by those young men!!!

Now it's on to the postseason where I wouldn't be surprised to see these two meet again for the regional title.

Great game Siders, way to bring 10-0, SOC II Trophy, and a home playoff game. You guys have gave us one heck of a season. Now lets keep it going all the way to State.

Great game Burg, you guys played with a lot heart and showed you wanted it just as bad as we did. Hope to see Round 2 in a few weeks.

Congratulations to West. I think everyone (at least those that know something about football) knew they would be tough with all the talent and numbers they had returning from last year. Nice to see West, Wheelersburg, and Minford all in the playoffs. Speaks well for the conference.
