Indeed some very good players will be lost to graduation. Based on the Ironton roster in the game programs, there were 15 seniors and 19 juniors on the 2011 team. Looks to me that the potential for a good season will be there.

I have heard that Wheelersburg is going to drop Ironton. Has anyone heard this or could verify this to be true. If that happens Ironton will loose a great gate!

What about Tanner Schweickart, Aaron Stephens, Nick Culbertson, Adam Webb, Tanner Dutey, Patrick Lewis, Nick Heaberlin, Austin Rowe just to name a few I can think of off the top of my head.

Johnson Central is a pretty decent program. They lost to Highlands in the second round of the playoffs, but Highland won the 4A state title.

That is gonna be a long drive! You guys are going to Western KY!

Posted as official on OHSAA website under both team's schedules. Watterson will be @ Ironton, giving the Tigers 4 home games (Gallia Academy, Ashland- Paul Blazer, Bishop Watterson, Bishop Hartley).

Very tuff schedule I think Ironton will have a hard time winning these games. Does anyone know if Wheelersburg is droping Ironton next year?

Doesn't look like the Tigers will save much gas by leaving the SEOAL. I thought they were a pretty good fit but I can see were a few SEOAL teams are glad the drive is over for now although we still have Portsmouth. Hope everyones off seasons go well and that all southern ohio teams represent this upcoming football season.
