With construction still going on parking is more limited than normal so getting there early would be recommended.

Biggest game in Athens co. History. My prediction NY 27-21. Congrats to both on a fine regular season and good luck to both week 11 and beyond

Tickets will be sold in the NY athletic office (next to weight room) on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM and on Friday from 7:30 AM to Noon. Tickets will also be available on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 PM at the football ticket booth. Tickets are $5 each.

A-town you need to get your facts straight as a hometown fan. Sharp is fine and so is Russell Skinner can play. And yes I know this for a fact. Even if everyone new about the so called injuries as a fan and supporter you don't put those things out.

The build up for this game will be much better than the game itself. NY fans will be yawning by halftime and Athens fans will be leaving in droves by end of third. Home game at Boston Field week 11 is pretty much in the bag. It is great that Athens fans are listing injuries on here providing their excuses in advance. I just wonder when the "got homered at home" excuse will surface?

What is the all-time attendance record at Rutter Field?

By how much do you think the all-time record will be shattered on Friday night?

Totally random question...........I know Rutter Field had naming rights go to "Scott Riggs and Family Stadium" and now we hardly ever see Rutter Field in print any more. At NY, we have the same scenerio but opposite results. Boston Field. Rocky Brands Sports Complex. We never see or hear Boston Field referred to as Rocky Brands Sports Complex. Yet, at Athens, we see and hear Scott Riggs and Family Stadium all the time. Same exact scenerio. Different outcome.

To me, it's Boston Field and Rutter Field. Period.

NY Buckeye 96. I also refer to the two fields as Boston and Rutter. I am not sure why you here more about Scott Riggs and Family Stadium. Maybe because it is in big print on the press box. I think in a year or two people will be tired of spelling out the whole name and go back to just saying Rutter field. As for the attendance record I am not sure. To me Athens has never really been good at keeping records of such things. I know in 2009 the Athens vs Alex game was the most I had ever seen at Rutter Field. I think it was estimated at around 3 or 4 thousand. I know when the stadium opened in the late 60's there was over 4,000 at some of the games.

I have no idea what the record is - and I have no idea how they would go about knowing ... I guess it will just have to be an 'eye test' ... The Jackson @ Athens in 1990 was huge, Alexander @ Athens in 2009 was really, really big as was the NY @ Athens in 2009 ... I think weather plays a big part - that Alex/Athens game in '09 was played with it being around 70 degrees at kick-off ... Its supposed to be around 40 degrees Friday, which is mighty cold - but I don't see it being too big of factor ... This game is too important for fans to stay away because of a little wind chill.

I am curious as to how you go about knowing the attendence? Will they be counting ticket sales? Have somebody counting with a 'counter' at the gate Friday - or will Gibby just guess and announce it over the loud speaker ... lol

I was not a math major, but if tickets are $5 each, total attendance would equal gate revenue divided by five, plus those who are admitted for free which would include players, chearleaders, band members, etc.

I would be shocked if the attendance record wasn't shattered given the scenerio of this game.

24 points? Well that tells us Calpreps has no idea about these two teams because (a) To get to 24 points Athens would need to hit a field goal - and that ain't happening or (b) Make three 2-point conversions and that's not going to happen versus the NY defense.

Or just score 4 touchdowns with no extra points.
