WOW now Ironton can't punt.
And play calling has been beyond bad.

good thing Ironton defense is playing good today, their offense sure isn't doing very good. 6 - 0 Ironton at the half.

Ironton with 2 FGs, when's the last time the Tigers have kicked a FG, let alone 2 of them?

Extremely poor punting 2 for negative yards & 1 decent. Trouble pushing it in for a TD in redzone. CG adjusted to the run after IHS had several great drives, since then... Struggle.
Hang in there ihs

CG crowding the line, daring the Tigers to pass. 9 people near the line of scrimmage. Ironton with a good drive to open the 2nd half that stalls inside CG territory, turnover on downs.

Ironton more penalties and mistakes this game, shooting themselves in the foot. 3 turnovers from Coal Grove, but can't capitalize.

Now an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against Ironton that takes them out of FG range. Total mess on this team, absolutely ZERO discipline from the Tigers all year long. 4th and 28 instead of a FG try to go up 2 scores. Coal Grove with the sack, so instead of a FG try, the Tigers get zero points and the Hornets get the ball at the 36 yard line.

I don't understand the play calling from the Tigers, Coal Grove is continuing to load 9 people in the box, but Ironton refuses to call any other play other than the T formation. What the hell are the coaches thinking?

CG with a TD, 5:48 left in game. Ironton killing themselves with penalties. Xtra point is blocked, game tied 6 - 6.

Is Ironton trying not to lose or failing to want to win .

stupid stupid stupid another personal foul against Ironton, lucky they have offsetting penalties. Ball at the 1 yard line.

TD Desmond Young, 64 seconds left in the game. 13 - 6 Ironton

Coal Grove driving, a long pass completion and another pass that went right through the receivers hands, pass interference on Ironton. 42 seconds left, Coal Grove ball on the 26 yard line of Ironton.

clock rolling, Ironton with the interception at the 5 yard line. Tigers will hold on for the win.

13 - 6 Ironton

final

4 turnovers for Coal Grove, lots of opportunities for the Tigers, but they barely hold on to remain the only undefeated team in the OVC.

Ironton is fighting to find who they are.
A talented team but yet play to their competition and not above who they could be.
If they make they playoffs I fear they may fall because they don't know how to win.

Offsetting personal foul when the Coal grove player did nothing doesn't sound partial, and besides ironton has no problem with home cooking.

Coal Grove beat themselves with turnovers and missed opportunities. On to next week.

DUDE!! ironton had 6 on the pass play (if pass was thrown right) but when a defender contacts a receiver 10-15 yds down the field INTERFENCE

the offsetting personal foul is the dumbest call in football!! clearly a zebra attention getter!!!!!!

Basically asking to screw CG over. Nice going. I wish the OVC would have one person who assigns officials to all league games.
