You're right. If we would win there is a chance FF would come to us in week 11. Here is where SCC plays in case you don't know:EasternDspy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2017 3:13 pmYea it’s possible for sure. If SCC wins it’s possible to end up in Steubenville in week 11. Where does Catholic play home games? I don’t think they have a home field.

Not that it has anything to do with this game but both of SCC losses came in games where they had to travel a far distance.

Drew Pastuer says only 5 % Chance Fort plays SCC in week 11. I do think Linsly will beat Shadyside though.

I know that the homers from Athens and Nelsonville York are going to disagree, but I believe that this will be the game of the week. Good luck to the Cadets.

It is a concern of SCC and they are focusing accordingly. Not only were the 2 losses far away but those were the only 2 games not played on field turf. The advantage certainly favors FF...no doubt about that. Home field will be even more than a typical home field advantage. Crowd size and home field will certainly yield a 12th man.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 8:47 pm Not that it has anything to do with this game but both of SCC losses came in games where they had to travel a far distance.

I disagree. I think speed is speed and one of those loses...we were down more than a few key starters. These kids have speed. They are ready.

Not saying they aren't ready. Read my prior posts:steubieCC93 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 10:19 pm I disagree. I think speed is speed and one of those loses...we were down more than a few key starters. These kids have speed. They are ready.
You plan to mix up a nice concoction of mud soup? I now see how Beverly rolls. If team A is faster on turf, aren't they still faster on grass? Never quite subscribed to field playing surfaces being a big deal.
South Harrison is a really solid team from top to bottom and "should" win WV "A" state tourney this year...or at least be in the finals. SCC was completely outplayed in the first half and congrats to SH. SH is extremely fast, strong and plays angry. Several scc skilled guys were hurt (2 are now back) and 2 starting RBs had to sit the first half of that game. On a positive note, scc did play the 2nd half to 14-14. I am in no way saying scc would have necessarily beaten SH but it could have been a different ballgame under more favorable circumstances. In the end, injuries and incidents are part of the game though. The other loss was to playoff bound, small school powerhouse, Berlin Center / Western Reserve. SCC lost 43-33. It was a tied track meet for 3 plus quarters before Western Reserve wore scc down with a very large and strong team led by a RB/LB going to Ohio State.

Hope everyone a safe travel and hopefully we get a great game tonight. Not very often do 2 playoff teams get a chance to tune up vs a high quality opponent in week 10.

Fort Frye fumbled on the Crusaders 5 yard line. Fort has caused 3 straight 3 in outs on defense.
