McNick scores with less than 20 seconds left in the half to put Burg down 21-14 at the half. McNick gets the ball to open the 2nd half and Burg has yet to stop them. Three possessions and three TD’s. Can’t stop their passing game.

Killer win by Burg. Way to rebound offensively to a good opponent.

Great game Burg. Way to bounce back on the road and get that big win.

Defense bent but didn’t break tonight. McNic threw the ball all over the place. Going to need to work on that

McNich QB throwing bullets. Also threw a very nice fade pass. Scary thing is that he is only a sophomore and is not the starting QB; starter got hurt last game. Their receivers were really good with lots of speed.

Nonetheless, Burg was the better team; way more physical. Again, penalties were a killer. I bet Burg was penalized over 15x. Some were shaky, but the roughing the passer and the two PIs were legit. All lead to touchdowns.

Solid win. Looks like Ironton has started their season by beating two really solid teams.

Very nice win, but Burg has to clean up the penalties.

They would have won this game handily but extended numerous McNich drives with killer penalties; roughing QB, PIs, etc… This hurt them against Ironton, almost cost them this game, and will eventually bite them in the ass in future games.

Surprised that Burg put up this many points, I figured this game had to be a defensive stalemate for them to win. Kudos to them for finding a way to get the win

They ran the ball at will. McNich had no answers; penalties were the only thing stopping Burg’s running attack.

I guess it must’ve been just how I read that they ran against Ironton. If they were able to run the ball that well against McNick they definitely can the rest of the way

Few power packages. Ran mostly out of the gun and spread it out. Much faster pace than against Ironton; zero delay of game penalties.

And these last 5 years burg has and is suffering from a Holden hangover. During most of the Lutz years burg was just too tiny to compete with Ironton year in and year out.
with or without holden pendleton era would be no different than Vass without all the recruits

Roughing the passer was a terrible call.
