Newark Catholic isn’t even better than Fort Frye. Caldwell has a great run defense. They just stacked the box and Fort was able to get Braxton the ball 1 on 1 on the outside which opened up other stuff. Caldwell not playing 4 Qts all season hurt them. They weren’t ready for it and Fort Frye made great adjustments.
Not as good as last year maybe not but last year they were state runner up ,

Good showing by Caldwell. If they get a decent draw, this will be a pretty epic season.

Out of curiosity, who will jump Caldwell for the 3? They still play a 6 win Shenandoah team who they’ll beat week ten and some of their other wins play each other so they’ll get some second level points. Green lost again last night and will lose one more. Waterford at 7-3 shouldn’t jump them.

Never mind, saw eastern moved to 3. Benefit of playing in a league, even if it’s terrible they all still play each other. Caldwell’s terrible opponents are spread out over multiple leagues 😂

Agreed. NC has not been playing well at all. Only (5-1) playing a schedule of schools two, three, and four times their size. I'm sure they are hoping to avoid Caldwell for as many rounds as possible in the playoffs.

Not my point at all. My point is to think that Newark is some unstoppable team that would score 30 in the first Qt on them is just not true. Caldwell defense is really good. They probably lose to Newark Catholic but Fort Frye is better imo.

Rewatched this game and it was a hellva effort by the Cadets defense. Caldwell really could not do anything after that first drive. Sayre had 118 yards but 60 of it came Vs Jv on last drive
