Big win by Waverly, getting that home field in week 11. Congrats to shoemaker on the record and going for 2K next week. For Minford going to have to keep fighting and need some luck next week.

Shoemaker going for 197 was very impressive. He earned every yard of it with pure determination. He was never ever able to break loose with any of his long breakaways and was probably hit as hard or harder than he has all year. He is one tough hard nosed young man. Not your normal 165 lb. running back.

I never ceased to be amazed with Haydn Shanks and his ability to bounce back each week and perform as well as he does with the injury he has.
Carried off the field just one week ago and he goes out there last night and records a 22-30 for 209 with 2 TD’s and no INT’s performance.

The kid is tough! He bounces back for his team and is a great team player and leader. The young man is a leader and it shows from his teammates. Just with his presence on the field

Waverly might as well rest Shoe on kick returns. No one has kicked it deep to him since the Amanda game.

Shoemaker has 43 carries? That’s a lot of punishment.

I wouldn’t kick to him either. He’s some kind of special when he touches the ball.

I was impressed with Minford. Had a solid line & some really good skill players. #7 was really good. Not sure the refs knew the HS rules of intentional grounding? Defense was the best tackling one we faced all year. Payton has a lot of carries late trying to ice the clock. Would be nice to take some of that load off. Good luck making the playoffs Minford.
