everyone shows up to play but will the falcons be able to? others have shown up only to be smacked in the mouth. here's hoping for a game that can keep the fans in the stands past half-time.

I saw another thread where you said Valley would finish 4 or 5 in the SOC... I also saw where you said Valley may be the only game Portsmouth wins. I saw a thread where you thought CG would beat Valley. I guess if you change your prediction enough you'll eventually get it right.
Yep that's pretty much spot on. However I don't know how you think I'm changing my prediction. I didn't think Valley would win More than 5 or 6 games in the preseason when I made that prediction. I still believe Valley is exactly the same team I thought they would be this year. The only difference between a decent 7-0 team and a decent 5-2 team is the quality of their opponents. And with the exception of Coal Grove who is decent the rest of their opponents are just plain bad this year. Sorry but that's my opinion. Valley has a good program with a lot of youth. They are very well coached. They should be in the top half of the SOC for a few years maybe longer. I think Valley looks better on paper than on the field. I'm always respectful but have my opinion. I may have been wrong on my predictions but that's cause ptown and pwest are really really bad this year. Sorry but I just don't think Valley is very good. Time will tell

who cares how may games valley can win? this is a burg/minford thread. come out of your purple/yellow haze and find a thread about the indians. but perhaps you are lonely and in need of witty banter. stick around under those circumstances.

There are 2 other threads on site dealing with SOC region 19...I think Minford folks are talking more about Valley b/c at least they may have a chance in that game. Burg did not talk about their next game when our Ironton thread was going on. "What about Ironton's speed"-- "Don't know..but Coal Grove schuedule sucks and we will KILL them"...come on, be man enough to address the problems you will encounter friday night. Hopefully, your team will not run scared and deflect the adversity these posters have. Smell repeat of 2010...only exception, Burg is better and Minford is worse than 2 years ago...

Very nice post. I agree with you 100%. This will be a good game. I would rather attend this game than the one i have to attend. Wish both teams an injury free night and Good Luck.

Game Day! Last home game Wheelersburg seniors. Enjoy the band coming down the hill, the walk on the field with your family before the game, the overflow crowd, all those moms shakin' their jugs. Soak all that in until kickoff, then focus and go crack somebody!
Pirates have heard enough jawing this week. Burg big.

Let's hope things work out where there is one more home game in week 11 for the seniors! Tonight will go a long way in making that a reality!! After visiting some other stadiums, it makes you appreciate the atmosphere at Burg with the music before each kick-off, the milk jugs, the crowd.....

GO PIRATES!!!

Region 15 Projections
5) Minford (8-2) 15.30
I look at that as well. Something doesn't seem right to me. He has Minford at 8-2, which I would assume means losses to Burg and Valley. Valley is projected at 9-1, which means they would lose to Burg, if they are supposed to give Minford their second loss. Burg is projected at 8-2 which means they will lose to either Valley or Minford. Am I missing something, or does this just not add up? Maybe the projection includes another Waverly win over Minford?

Region 19 Projections
1) Wheelersburg (8-2) 18.14
2) Oak Hill (8-2) 17.44
3) Wynford (Bucyrus) (8-2) 17.15
4) Valley (Lucasville) (9-1) 16.22
5) Loudonville (7-3) 14.05
6) Columbus Academy (Gahanna) (6-4) 12.95
7) East Knox (Howard) (6-4) 12.40
8) Hillsdale (Jeromesville) (7-3) 12.40

It's been a LONG week, ready to setback and watch this one. Go Falcons! Minford needs to control the clock and limit big plays!

Valley loses to 'Burg, beats Minford. Minford loses to 'Burg and Valley. 'Burg clinches home game after Valley win, let-down and loses to improving West?

West's total points scored for the last 4 weeks (in order) have been 28, 21, 6, and 0. Improving? They could be improving a little, but to only be able to score 28 against winless Rock Hill and only manage 6 points in the past 2 weeks isn't showing much improvement.

Well, yeah-but have to consider who West played those weeks. Just looking for a situation that fits the projections that were shown, no comment on how realistic that might be.

It's about 4 1/2 hours till we find out who the "King of The Hill" is!

I think Burg will prevail the winner in this one! My heart is with Minford but, logic says Burg! And, that my nephew plays for them! Starting guard and D-tackle!

Lucasville... you don't have a chance against Burg--and I'm sure somebody will issue bounty's on Wheelersburg players from out that way! Don't think it happens? Nobody doesn't want it to be true but, it does! Will see...you can tell if you watch the game!

Minford, I think will beat Lucasville to in the "Back Yard Brawl"! Maybe, not as decisively as Burg will but, still a loss!

And, scene... Now comes the volley of insults and remarks from the Lucasville faithfull! And, by the way...I know Sciotoville East stinks the field up this year! I predicted them to go 4-6 at the beginning of the season! So, try something else.

Question: How many SOC II Championships has Valley won?
