I saw Bexley's first round playoff game last year at Beechcroft (D4 last year, now both in Region 9 this year)
Bexley has typically played very good defense under Coach Smith. Physical, run-first football team with some good athletes at the skill positions.
But I think they will struggle with Jackson's physicality and team speed on defense. Jackson offense may start slow, but once they get rolling I think they can pull off a 2-3 score win.
Know some Logan folks will be headed down that way. I'll be headed to Albany (with another big group of Logan folks, haha).

Moonshine is on the right track here I think, Jackson may be a slight favorite on paper but we are not one of those teams that puts up a lot of points, reference Chillicothe, Granville, and Logan scores as an example.moonshine wrote:Jackson by 7
Forecast calling for rain, Bexley has a solid defense, and offensively runs a lot of power sweeps, puts a lot of blockers on the edges, so they will have some success at times. Jackson probably a little more stout between the tackles on runs so will need to adjust a bit I think. OLB's and strong safety will need to play well I think to help defend what they like to do. Bexley QB looks to be a good athlete (reminds you of Logan's Little) and can extend some plays as well.
We are by no means some huge favorite in this game. My guess is Bexley prefers this match-up as well given the final 8 and there is no doubt we have our work cut out for us in order to see another Week 12.

I'm hearing ya man. I think it will be wet and messy. I wish I could travel from Dayton to see this one. I'm hoping for win, but I don't think it will be easy. Already told the wife if Jackson wins, I'm making a road trip next week.doubleplay643 wrote:Forecast calling for rain, Bexley has a solid defense, and offensively runs a lot of power sweeps, puts a lot of blockers on the edges, so they will have some success at times.
