Slightly off topic, but I heard today that Tri-Valley will be opening (week 1) with Logan in 2018 (at Logan) and 2019 (at Tri-Valley).
Logan hosts Dublin Jerome and Tri-Valley hosts Akron St. V St. M to open the 2017 season.

Makes sense. Last I knew Logan had open dates in weeks 1, 3, 7, 8, and 9 in 2018. Logan played a freshman game at Tri-Valley on Saturday.

Hoping Logan and Jackson can make week 3 work in 2018.

Logan will also be playing Sheridan (from the MVL) in 2017 and and 2018 in week 4, another good match-up for the Chiefs.

Have been saying for years that Logan and Tri-Valley would be a great match-up. The Scotties have been the better program in 5 or so years, but I think Logan should be on a bit of an upswing.

Logan 2017 Schedule:
AT Dublin Jerome
VS Teays Valley
VS Meigs
VS Sheridan
AT Nelsonville-York
AT Athens
OPEN
VS Dublin Scioto
AT Hamilton Ross
VS Warren

Logan 2018 Schedule:
OPEN (Possibly VS Tri-Valley)
AT Teays Valley
OPEN
AT Sheridan
VS N-Y
VS Athens
OPEN
OPEN (Possibly AT Dublin Scioto)
OPEN (Possibly Zanesville)
AT Warren

Tri-Valley is looking at 8-2 to 10-0 season this year (Zanesville, Philo and maybe Sheridan have the best shot at beating them.)
TV should be better in 2017 with few seniors playing this year.
2018 will be a big rebuild year. Buttermore has shown the ability to reload at TV, but 2018 is the ??? down the road.

By the way, over the past couple years TV has tried to schedule games with Athens, Dover, Licking Heights, and continue with Licking Valley but all were a no. Glad to hear Logan will play the Scotties.

Logan/TV is great game to schedule. Really wish Jackson could get Tri-Valley on their schedule, even though it's quite a long trip.

Definitely hope to see Logan back on Jackson's schedule in the near future.

I'd even like to see a Washington Court House, McClain or even a Marion Franklin on the schedule also. I'm really interested in seeing how it works out being independent. We all know we're going to have to have those Shadyside games every year to fill the schedule. But I can live with it as long as there is 10 weeks or more of Logan Chieftain Football to watch!!

Being an independent will be a scheduling nightmare. Hats off to our AD for her hard work trying to pull this off.

That would be news to Logan from what I'm hearing.

BUT, also true that Logan is leaving a lot of the scheduling for the next few years up in the air. Logan's schedule VERY much in flux.

My sources say Tri-Valley not 100% confirmed, but they are very much in discussion. As are Zanesville starting in 2018.

Meigs is open to keeping their game as well which would help.

Logan is not going to have the luxury of being very picky when it comes to scheduling in the near future.

KD you are right on . Being an Independent will be a nightmare. I also like the fact of going West and East. Better than going North where most schools are alot bigger than Logan and they are not likely favorable in the long term to travel to Hocking County. With the new Supt and currant AD would there be a chance of joining a new league or creating a new league with all members committed to long term stability ? . Now that would be something to hang your hat on . I would hope that attempts are a top priority and have no reason to think otherwise. Now back to the thread I think the Chiefs have a good chance to get to the win column . The Meigs game even being a loss seem to have the Chiefs heading in the right way . Line play has improved and they were able to move the ball on the ground . The passing game should improve just has not turn the corner but will soon . Chieftain fans do have faith and we appreciate all the hard work. Go Chiefs!!!!!!!!

There is a Cracker Barrel at the exit before I-77. Turn left off the exit and it will be on the right , you'll see the sign. Always good.

For those looking for "good" fast food, there is a Sheetz in Cambridge.
