pol pot: Portsmouth East did win the state baseball title in 1973. I think one of the stars for that Tartan team was Jeff Welch. Lucasville Valley won the state baseball title in 1975, and Howard Harness was one of the outstanding players on that team. It's been quite a while ago, but I hope I'm correct on the names of the players.

Paint Valley won the state baseball title in 1995. The Adena girls basketball team won the very first girls Class A state title in 1976.
