Holding negates a Pointer TD. SOuth Point facing a 3rd and 15 loses yards. Facing a 4th and 18 with under a minute to go.

Portsmouth won the game but south point coaching lost that game for them. The fake punt was really dumb and coming out second half trying to eat the clock. I’m glad Portsmouth won but south point was 1000 times improved. The #72 kid going to Akron is a absolute monster. And the qb was very good. Trojans play like they next week it will be a bad night. South point has no reason to hang there head but coach has to be questioning his play calls in 2nd half.

Portsmouth coaching was very questionable also , why not kick the Field goal before half with only 4 seconds on the clock ? Then keep running the same tired screen that was not working is crazy ,and AGAIN, Hammond is not the best running back on this team thank your lucky stars the coaches was smart enough to put the ball in Truits hands when it counted !! Even the radio guys are puzzle about why he doesn't touch the ball more !!

To many stupid penalties also fall on no displine ,to late in the season for that sh!t .

South point? They are going in the right direction, some great passes and catches by the receivers ,and like posted above number 72 is a MAN! Had no answer for him.

Congrats Trojans on the come from behind win. Just by looking at Gallia Academy, I guess that really shows that old saying that you have to bring it each and every game.

South Point is very much improved. They have some good athletes. Portsmouth was their own worst enemy all night. Couldn’t block anyone, kids dropping passes one after another. Silly penalties, bad play calling, lucky to get out of there with the win. I honestly thought when it was 21-7 SP that was game. Nice to see the defense adjust in the 2nd half. I think Portsmouth needs to get the ball in the hands of Pendleton & Truett more often. Good things happen when they touch the ball. Both of them run hard and just get up the field, no dancing around. Nothing against Hammond but he just isn’t the guy the coaches want him to be. Good ball player, give him a few touches, good on defense, but let Truett run the ball and let Pendleton be the one who gets the ball on those little end arounds. Side note #72 for SP is very impressive.

Congrats PHS on the win. Also, it's encouraging to see SP continue to improve throughout the year.

After an uninspired first half, the Trojans upped their game in the final 2 periods to outscore South Point 21-0. Probably the best aspect of this game for Portsmouth was that they got the win not nearly playing their best. I think the Pointers certainly had something to do with that, as this SP team is vastly improved compared to the previous few years. Their passing game was very respectable, and they had some speed at RB to complement it.

If Portsmouth has any thoughts of beating or competing with Ironton next week, this version of the Trojans can't show up. They have to totally focused and ready from the opening kickoff, and absolutely have to keep mistakes to a minimum. If PHS can play like they did vs. Fairland, it could be an interesting game. Anything less than that and it will be ugly night at the Coliseum.

It's been a good season for the Trojans and I'm happy for the kids and coaching staff that they will see Week 11 and have a chance to compete for the OVC title.

GO TROJANS!!

That kid is a monster. He ate our lines up. South point had another good lineman on defense. Wanna say number 60.
