Everyone wants to blame the schedule, they’ve always played a tough schedule. I think what has happened to them is that the times finally caught up with them in that they’re now not immune to a 2-3-4 year slump of talent and numbers. Couple that with their schedule and you get 1-9, so now like many D6-7 teams they’re waiting for that next group or 2 of classes to come through to get back to winning. They’re not that reload team anymore.
Very true in much that you said! I was shocked in the product they put on the field and the “size” of the product lol. I believe they have a young HC and it has shown as well so it has been a combination of factors for sure. Maybe this is the season things start getting back to normal for them.
They need to go down and talk with Ironton coach about modern day recruiting. NC seems to have fallen behind the times in that regard. Of course they could also learn a few things from Eastern coaches. They’ve been doing a great job
