Congrats Ironton on the win! Should be a dandy next week against Kirtland.

SOOOOOOOO, the Ironton ball carrier just dropped the ball on his own????? Someone had to hit the runner or did he just drop them?

If irontons ball carriers are just dropping footballs, then the fumbles are an issue. All fumbles are forced, unless it’s a drop. For example, the fumble that led to the safety that was unforced. All the others were forced.

He is definitely on the right track. We were bad before LaVerde got here and it took him 2 seasons to turn us around

He's done a great job. But there's nothing amazing about winning with talent, especially a huge line and a 240 pound tailback/linebacker going to Ohio State.

Team looked undisciplined against RB. Numerous penalties and fumbles. Amazingly coached teams don't do those things.

Knew someone would throw shade , a lot of other local teams with plenty piped in talent not getting it done .

Before Pendleton was hired , by default, Ironton was soft , out of shape , undisciplined and a punchline. What area team smirks at Ironton now ?

It was a legitimate response. There's nothing magical. More than anything I'm not sure your response is as much a credit to Pendelton as it is a slap at Mark Vass

Look at the stats. Ironton rushes for 245 as a team. Carrico has 178 of them

Ironton throws for 50 yards, Carrico has 39 of them.

Ironton with 3 lost fumbles and 13 penalties for 120 yards. That looks like a one man undisciplined team.

Not a slap at anyone , facts don’t care about your feelings or opinions. Pendleton has instilled pride , sense of team and work ethic . You are correct sir , nothing magical , just gritty bare bones football. Love it

Yes I said he has done a great job. But look at the stats. They don't lie. Do it when possibly the best player to dawn the Ironton uniform is gone then get a true reading of where the program is.

So you’re saying after this year Ironton will be irrelevant?

Pendleton has done a good job. But let’s be honest, he does have talent. Let’s see what he can do without a full cupboard. Classifying him as one of the best in the areas is premature. Becoming that coach is a marathon not a sprint.

Yeah a lot of other local coaches who haven’t got it done lately 😉

Must be lack of talent 🤷‍♂️

I actually love how you weirdos act like the coach has nothing to do with the ball player that carrico has become pure stupidity at a very high level. How much money would you bet that with the previous staff carrico would be at ohio state and ironton back to back state championship appearances? You know for a fact thats a lie plenty of teams i have seen with a lot of talent doesnt mean automatic state champs cut it out

No that is not what I said.
The only other local Ohio teams with that kind of talent is Wheelersburg, Waverly, and to an extent Jackson.
Carrico is a generational talent. And even more than that a generational player because it seems his success hasn't went to his head. The other seniors they have are also good. They have alot of good players.

" You can't have a circus without the animals "
Carrico is a great player and will be missed something awful but what the IHS coach has done is instilled the pride and hard work back into IHS.
It's amazing how some do not want to give him any credit.

I don't think you can tell anything in 3 years other than they've done a great job.

There are numerous other local examples of teams being like an 80's one hit wonder because a couple great groups go through. Waverly, Portsmouth, Portsmouth West, Williamsport Westfall, Minford, Valley Chesapeake. Not all made a title game, but they had a couple years of stacked classes, we're relevant and fell off. And they didn't have a legit OSU stud player.
