I REALLY hope I'm wrong here but I do not think the Trojans will pull the win out! I have no real reason, just a hunch, but I hope im wrong.
I havent even looked at LH's schedule so no one get crabby, just going with the ol' gut.

BUT I STILL SAY GO TROJANS!!

Looks like Licking Heights plays a softer schedule compared to Portsmouth.

LH has to play 4 D-6 schools, that is just the league that they are in.
They are the biggest school in the MSL Cardinal, they should be a favorite to win it next year.

As of the game on Sat. LH is a fast team. In the West Jeff game, WJ dominated they from the time that LH took the field and seen the stands how full they were, they were a little intimidated.
But don't judge them on that performance along they are a very good football team. WJ at times in that game could have blown it wide open if not for mistakes on there part on offense and defense, the game should have been 42-2 but didn't happen.
LH is very fast on defense and have big players that are disciplined across the board on the O-line & D-line. 2 RB's are 200+ very hard runners.
But as it looks, Portsmouth did play the tougher schedule all year long and that will benefit them, as will LH playing WJ last week benefiting them.
Should be a great game, LH is a great place for a football game, really nice field and stadium, lots of parking.
Good luck to both teams!

West Jefferson 22 league titles
12 playoff appearances
4 state titles

WJ was a good test for LH unless Ptown greases them. Then what does that make WJ? Hard to tell anything from anygame either teams have played. Smaller lines can do great damage to bigger lines etc.. Big backs can make big yards in some leagues but when it steps up to the playoffs, defense wins. Its all crazy!! Thats why they call it the 2nd season, its a whole new ball game and the tapes tell the story and its up to the coaches to get their guys in position to win.

Good luck trojans!!

What does that make WJ? Well that will still make WJ #1 in their region, #7 in the state, #4 in the power poll & #1 in the coaches poll.
WJ will be waiting to see who they play in round 2.
That's pretty much what that means!

Now what if LH greases Ptown, what will that make WJ?

GO TROJANS!

A mod might want to change the topic headline, it says #5 Portsmouth vs. #5 Licking Heights, instead of #4 Licking Heights.

Also, Portsmouth is 8-2 not 7-3 as the topic header states

ALMOST GAME TIME
The Rock Hill-St. Clairsville playoff game will air on AM-1230 WIRO and online at http://www.800wvhu.com/pages/hsbroadcasts.html.
Just click on either the tiger head logo or the WIRO logo.
Ryan Epling will handle the play-by-play duties and will do a fine job. I'll take care of the in-studio pregame show beginning at 6:30, with the kickoff at 7.

the UC - USF game is still on TV - I'll be back shortly.
Also note that the Portsmouth game is on 99.3 FM, although my reception is lousy tonight.

I put this on the wrong thread, but I'll just leave it here for the info.
Sorry, folks
