This will come down to Valley's ability to contain the big play and not turn it over. The Indians are young and inexperienced but they also have more talent than anyone wants to admit. I think if Ward and Streeter can find some success between the tackles and move the chains, Valley can wear on Portsmouth a bit. Defensively, there are kids that have played. I think if Valley avoids mistakes, they will be in this one late and the coaching edge will give the Indians a 1-0 start.

Valley does not return a lot of starters but they do return kids who have had playing time I still don't see them winning this game with it being week 1 by the end of the year this team should be playing pretty good football

Trojans 2 big runs around 60 and 40 yards. Valley puts a drive together and gives up an 81 yard pick 6.

All Trojans after 1....20-0

Uh oh, phs just let Valley pick up the ball on their 26. Looked like the kid thought he was in punt coverage.

Valley can't pass it from under center but for some reason they keep trying they can not block Portsmouths line

Trojans hold on a 1st and goal, fumble the ball on their seven. Valley scores to make it 32-12 with 5:38

Congrats to the Trojans! Came out and played hard, got the W.

Valleys kids went through some growing pains this evening, but the inability to do anything at the LOS didn't allow then to get anything going.

They didn't quit, which is good to see. Get back up and ready to play next week.

Valley is way down this year compared to the last several years. Hopefully the program can withstand this setback season.
