100% agreed

This team was young last year. And was very competitive. If I recall they had some real good size up front with nice athletes to add to em ! They’ll suprise the doubters of but there’s a few of us that knows what’s brewin on the west side.....
West should find a bunch of 1980s alumni to referee the final game of the season against Wheelersburg, b/c that's exactly what the Burg admin did last year to West.
Burgs AD is from south Webster and top notch. You only make yourself look dumb making a statement like this.

Seconded. One of the biggest reaches I've seen on here in awhile as Burg could've hung 60 on West last year regardless of who officiated.*

Yeah I'm sure they needed to do that to increase their chances of beating a 2 win West last year.

That’s gonna be a heckuva football game these next few years. Both very easily could be 9-0 at some point. Maybe 2021/2022?

I have no dog in the Burg-Sider discussion of the last few posts, but it is good to see West supporters get involved with SEOP.

Used to be more for all teams but when crap gets stirred beyond stupidity, they jet. Like the poster who talked about the ad and refs I believe is a minford fan. Stuff like that gets old.

Shouldn’t there be a kid with last name Sloan in that mix ?? Or least the QB talks ???

XandOs wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2020 9:27 am Let’s hope Football season happens this fall or spring. I’ve had many around the program say this is Pendleton’s best team at Ironton and maybe one of the best in school history. The Fighting Tigers are eyeing a state championship in 2020.
Hard to make that assumption when it’s year three but having Carrico gives the tigers a great chance. Well I guess if it’s one of the best in school history, it’s going to be one of his best I suppose. Hard to beat last years team. Ironton needs it to happen in fall because carrico is enrolling in Ohio state in January I thought.
You are correct, I seen an interview where I think himself and a lot of that 2021 OSU recruits will be enrolling early.

Almost the norm anymore for big schools it seems. Pretty sure Treylan Davis from Jackson will be enrolled at WVU come winter too.

Ok. That’s a little more insight. Don’t get me wrong. The advertisement of the youngn is great for him and the program. But I thought there was a heckuva player with last name Sloan that I heard tosses the pigskin some 60yrds IN THE AIR. That’s impressive. Real impressive. Baseball player too and son of a former athlete from I-Town ???

And you are Right. What a great problem to have. I’m sure they all will be on the field somewhere.

I wonder who all has moved to Arnton during the off season. It’s been kind of quiet. I’m hearing there’s some new faces that have talent. Looks like the Fighting Tigers are gonna be real good for a long time as long as Coach Pendleton is in Arnton. Hearing the HS has 75 players and the Junior High programs have 60 kids playing between 7-8th grade.

Sloan won’t be the QB. I believe it will be Carpenter with Sloan at #2. I’ve heard Sloan should see plenty of time at WR too. Young man is supposedly pretty fast with really good hands.

Big news, no 8 game minimum to make playoffs and higher seed could host first 3 games

I like the possibility of hosting 3 playoff games.

Honestly we could've had Ray Charles last year and it wouldn't have mattered. This year may be different
It's the GODs honest truth, and I personally know 2 of them. This year I hear the league is going to pick the Refs and take it out of the hosting schools AD hands. That's a move should've been done a long time ago.

I agree. That way when the host school still wins and the sour grape visitor fans are mad they got no one to blame.
