Wheelersburg controled the LOS tonight and thus dominated the game. That defense is just nasty. Let's see cg-irontonfan say it's over rated now.

Great win Pirates and good luck next against Hartley. I'll be there for sure.

Congrats to Ironton on another fine season.

As an outsider looking in, ironton needs to look hard at the progress and program and determine whether things are heading in the right direction. I saw a lot of negative things from the staff and the discipline. One example would be the simple allignment of the backfield. Many times it looked unbalanced.

I know. The Tigers started fighting more than playing late in the game. Looked like they were trying to hurt someone. Play with pride all the way to the end.

On another note. Burg dominated this game. What a performance by all parts. Defense is nasty. Now we all see that Burg got better too since week one. They left it on the field. Oline played an outstanding game. A few bumps in the road but nothing too serious. Next week will be a battle. Prepare fellas. You can accomplish anything.

Great job by the Pirates!!! Our coaches have done a nice job of making good second half adjustments and keeping the kids fired up!! Defense is just amazing. I really thought Ironton would pass more at beginning of the game. Then again, maybe they shouldn't have. Sure do know the tigers are gonna be a force next year!

GO PIRATES!!

Nice job by that "overrated D", I guess Ironton isn't the only team in the area that improves throughout the season.

Great job tonight on both sides of the ball. Maybe the most undisciplined ironton team I have ever seen.

Burg is the real deal. I truly believe they will beat Hartley. They certainly are capable.

As for Ironton....
What in the hell kind of call by the staff is an option play with 2nd and 1 to go deep in your own territory in the early part of the game?!?!

Call a run up the gut and move those chains. That dumb call/turnover put the Tigers behind the 8 ball the rest of the night. The crowd never even had a chance to get involved.

Ironton needs to incorporate more passes to the ends in the game. The QB had a nice arm. I see Ironton being good next season as long as they continue to work hard. Hopefully, the defense improves.

kittykannon made a single post and stopped. I guess all the tiger fans are singing their songs of sorrow. I heard something coming from the Ironton side that sounded like "What might have been."

When cox hit Howard 10 yards deep in the end zone was a total lack of sportsman ship... I can see making an effort but come on...
