The buckeyes have a chance at having a very sucessful season, who knows 10-0! The backfeild will be back and strong, Talbert and Arnold will put up huge numbers. Barrick has a full year under his belt and will settle right in. The receivers should be fine. Not a lot of speed, but great control receivers. Dennis and Lyon are back on the Offensive line, there is a multitude of kids that could step in there; Norway, Hunter, Jones. A lot of good possibilities. Then the Defense will definetly be a strong suit. After only losing 3 starters on Defense, the rest is intact. This is a defense that I believe allowed the fewest points in the league. All this is speculation and opinion of course, but you throw in some of the younger kids and this could be an exciting year.

I cannot wait for the matchup with Piketon next season. NY is the cream of the crop in their conference and Piketon returning most of there team from a 7-3 season. First ever meeting between the two schools.

NY fans, I hope to see you on 8/29/08. I should be on the sidelines somewhere at J. Madeira Brown Field.

Not sure of the overall numbers, kind of early to say. I do believe if all of the young men come back they will have around 20 Seniors. That would be a good start!

I know it is still more than 5 months away, but I am ready for some football. I think it is great that NY and Piketon are hooking up for the first time ever. What type of defense doe NY mainly play? I have heard that they will spread you out, and go double TE's and the option game. Should make for a fun contest. As for coming to Piketon, there is plenty of parking for the field. Several nice places in Waverly to eat, mainly a couple of pizza shops and taco bell to eat in Piketon. Waverly is 4 miles north on 23, there is a Dakotas steakhouse, Emmitt House very good food but a little pricey, plus Bob Evans, and several fast food places.

I mean no disrespect of any kind from this post.
I believe the buckeyes will once again win the tvc. I believe the will lose three games. The buckeyes need to find another weapon besides arnold. Shut him down and you have the buckeyes beat. I know the buckeyes have the talent but some kids need to step up and make some plays. Good Luck bucks.

I think the bucks will have more than just a running game this year. I think they will have a decent passing game to. If there o-line really starts blocking well this year then look out.

I look for the bucks to be improved all the way around, a lot of underclassmen got playing time last year. The line has to replace two starters but other than that the offense is pretty much intact from last year. The defense improved steadily and I look for them to pick up where they left off. With the upgraded schedule it's hard to predict how many games they will win. If they manage to make the playoffs the new schedule will definitely have them prepared for it. After a few rough games when the offense sputtered the coaching staff got creative with their play calling and I expect more of that this year.

Don't chalk Trimble up as a win just yet. Trimble graduated about the same amount of players as NY did so this should be even again like last year. It will be a great game to watch on a Saturday night at Boston Field.

Gecko you are right about the teams should be even just like we seen last year at glouster memorial stadium. The only thing the buckeyes will have this season that the cats won't is a home field advantage. Its not very often the tomcats steal one at boston field and I don't think it will happen this year.

There is no way the buckeyes will beat ironton or piketon but athens should be an easy win. I look for the bucks to lose those two games and only those two games.

I think they have a good shot against piketon and Ironton. It will be a tall order but they can beat them. Thats why they play the game. :122245 :122245 :122245
