The website shows Marietta seats 7,000 people. It must be 6,000 on the home side...lol

Seating is good on home side. Visitors side is about like West I guess... Maybe a little bigger.

The best way is take 32 toward Athens then get on 50 east crossin the new bridge just before belpre. You will run into 77 take it north. As soon as you cross the river back into ohio take the first exit and go left and you will go approx 6-7 blocks. You will see the stadium and parkin om the left. It is slightly longer but you will avoid downtown marietta and it is 4 lane. I seen this posted on burgfan

The Burg better be ready for a fight. That MC team is very athletic. It seems as though every player is built exactly the same, not much fat but tall and very strong. They have plenty of speed at every position so I doubt they are too concerned about the "fast track" at Marietta. They also have a lot of talent at the skill positions. I hope Burg comes away with the win, but I would go up there expecting one hell of a game. I see this one being decided by less than 7 points.

My Brother lives 10 minutes from the stadium and said the drive is about 2-2hrs and 15 minutes. and woodsfield being almost 4hrs? No. its a half hr more passed the marietta college. they said that mapquest takes you the interstate and thats why it was so long.

but I'll take 2hrs over what i thought 4hrs

Woodsfield is 30 minutes away from Marietta College if you are flying in a plane, as the crow flies....

There is a multitude of ways (all state routes) that you can take besides I-77 North to SR 78 at Caldwell, but they all take about an hour, or more. Mileage varies from about 48 miles to 60 miles one way, depending on which way you go.

I've made it in less than an hour driving up SR 821 to SR 145 to SR 78, knowing the road very well and driving a fast car  . None of the state route drives is for a novice, or the timid :122245

So, for all the burg fans, yes, you shaved about an hour off your drive with the game being moved to Marietta.

shaved a half an hour off?
so ur saying woodsfield is 3-3hr15min away?
cause its only 2hrs to 2hr 15 minutes to marietta, and dont question that cause that fact.
dont care how many trips you have taken. if it takes you longer you drive to slow.
I've never been to woodsfield. I'm just passing info on that is from ppl that actually live there and go by woodsfield all the time, and they say its about a half hour longer. so i will believe my source.

Anywho
Burg loses this game do to passing DEF,
Sorry I hope they win though!

I'm sure burg will represent the SOC II and SEO well. It's good that monroe had the sense to move this game to a decent location, a little common sense goes a long ways.

I went up to marietta about a year ago and found that for people taking 32 to athens, just swing on around athens to the north and hit 550. Takes you straight into Marietta. Nice drive. 550 is just north of where Burg played at Athens high school field a few yrs back vs Shenandoah.
