I agree with that.

But good gracious look at the week 1-5

That could get BRUTAL REAL QUICK !!

Logan- has the nicest sports training facility in SEO. They won’t be 5-5/6-4 forever

Athens - Has possibly the #1 NFL draft pick

Western brown - can hurt ya in a blink of an eye

Licking Valley - state runners up

Tha Burg-state champs

To be the. Best. Yiu got to play the best. And that’s just what the Ironmen are doing. They back down from no team.

Take no disrespect from Courthouse, Trace McLain. They are coming up. Quick. Cause they know they have to to compete with Jackson.

Hillsboro / Chillicothe- They no walk in the park !!!!

Onward Jackson

Full steam ahead baby !!!

I think Nelsonville-York and Trimble would probably like a word with you......

But those are three great programs.

I don't know how many State titles Jackson has but Nelsonville-York has 1 and pretty darn good tradition.
Trimbles has multiple regional titles and a couple appearances in the title game.

Trimble and Nelsonville are impressive programs but I don’t know if they would win any in a ten game series with the other 3.

N-Y has a state championship (beating 'Burg along the way). Trimble has been to Canton twice.

Jackson hasn't even won a regional championship.

Jackson and N-Y have played three times post-SEOAL.

Jackson won in '90 (21-20) and '91 (44-22) but the Buckeyes won in '94 (48-7) - so they already have at least 1 win in 10.

N-Y is 2-2 against 'Burg all-time (all playoff games)

They are 0-5 all-time against Ironton.

Nice rundown locos. Yes the Ironmen have finished twice regional runners-up. Playing in the most competitive region in any division IMO has shown over the years. Would you by chance know off the top of your history files how many DIII region 11 have produced state champs ??

Since the playoff expanded in '99, Jackson has bounced around region (and division) wise. They mostly were in R12 from from '99-2012 except for a few seasons where they were in Div. II and were in Region 8. They even were in Region 7 one year.

Since 2013, they have been in Region 9/Region 11 (for a couple years they only had the two DI divisions so D3R9 and D3R11 are essentially the same.

In THAT time period, Region 9/Region 11 actually hasn't produced a state champ. Athens was runner-up in 2014 and Tri-Valley was runner-up in 2017. Every other season the R9/R11 champ has lost in the state semifinal.

Region 11 did have 5 state champs b/w 1999 and 2012 - Canton Central Catholic (2000), Bishop Watterson (2002), Steubenville (2005, 2006), and Cardinal Mooney (2012). But Jackson was never in Reg. 11 in that time period.

Good stuff locos. Yeah the Ironmen have bounced around over the years. Region11 too in the mid-90s. Always thought the schools that were close in this were always state perennial programs. Guess I’ve could’ve Been a little more descriptive making my original point. Lol. Which you listed some impressive schools.

So many pieces to put together! Which way works best? Which gives the best chance in the playoffs (god willing)

I’m bored...think about this?

QB Winters
RB Spires

TE Davis
WR Prater
WR McManaway

Line? Strawser...Coach and Wooten figure out the others

Wolford/Painter....get some carries

Spires...gets 25 receptions as well

8-2, 6 seed....Winters 25 TD, 1800 yards passing, 500 yards rushing. Spires 1000 rushing 15 TD, Prater 40 receptions 700 yards 8 TD, Davis 40 receptions 600 yards

But....wait for it

QB Spires
RB Winters

8-2, 6 seed

Spires 1500 yards passing 15 TD, 400 yards rushing, Winters 1200 yards rushing, Prater 600 receiving, Davis 500 receiving

It can be done 2 different ways IMO. Will it be based on who the heck is on the line? Will a Ty Ruckel type kid step up and go from skill position to the line? I think this current team has a number of kids who could really help out the line...but maybe not everyone willing.

This team has a lot of skill players but man the line must be good. It could be very good. I hear kids are working hard. Coach Hall has done well at getting kids to buy in...that senior class getting ready to graduate was pretty special.

What’s best for team?...that’s all that really matters. I said 8-2 as an example but the chance is there to be very special.

Can’t wait!
