I look forward to this game every year as the start of my football season. I hope sanity rules next year and beyond and the game is moved back to thdd ex season opener.
I will be surprised if this game is played again next year or the following year if I Ironton puts a running clock on them.
If Pendleton is still at Ironton it maybe another Ashland situation only deeper because of embarrassment of the Beating Burg is taking.
They talk about Ironton recruiting they don't have to recruit they just win and players want to win homegrown and transfers.
Each player pushes the other to be better and they don't despise each other they are brother together and want to win.
That is the difference Ironton wants and ask the best of every player nothing is given it is earned and the players knows and expects that.
Burg can claim we are a homegrown team and don't have transfers that is fine but the fact is Ironton has build a winning formula that kids want to play and win in.
I have no hate for Burg I want to see them win in all sports it keeps SE Ohio relevant as I do all local teams to win.
But Burg thinks it has the upper hand on scheduling and at the moment they do but what happens when they get another running clock put on them will we hear its because of the transfers or because of the hard work and the coaching that is put in by the players and the coaches.
Ironton is a different beast from years ago they are no longer the laughing stock of Southern Ohio yes they are independent and it will take time to get a schedule together year by year but they are striving to be the best of the best.
We have to open up a spot ion our schedule for P’Town since they are moving to the SOC. All these Ironton fans like to try to blow smoke saying a running clock and it will probably turn out like all these wins they projected this summer in 7v7. We all know how that has turned out with 0 wins. They don’t have the Terry kid now and he was a game changer. Nobody can dispute that but they don’t have another unless they can find him to transfer in.
your a idiot they went against bigger schools and 3-3 in two big camps is it the results they wanted no but they are getting better and looking forward to that running clock on Burg and preparing for that flood from Burg fans

It doesn’t matter the size of the school, they only can out 7 kids on the field. You have a transfer all-star team.

Ironton has actually beat some D1 schools at the 7vs7’s, not sure where you came up with 0 wins.

Isn't it weird that the grown males. Notice I didn't say men. Typing away from mommy's basement crying about and obsessed with transfers. Ten years ago if Pendleton was coaching at Ironton wanted my son to come to Ironton I would have jumped at that. opportunity for him.

It is weird that grown men like to try to predict a running clock for games that are scheduled to happen in the future. Ironton had a playmaker in Terry last year that made a difference. The Tiger fans have failed to wake up and realize he is gone. The whole transfer thing will work out with time just like we now have kids practicing soccer in the Tank like people said would never happen. Just give it some time and you will see.

See you at the Ed week 6. It may be the last visit, because we need a spot on our schedule for Portsmouth (moving to the SOC). We don’t need Ironton on our schedule, because we can fill our schedule without any problems. We also don’t have to travel 400 miles for a team to play us. It won’t be long before you don’t have any local teams left on your schedule, because they will drop you off of it. You will have to fill it with teams who win few games from other states outside of the tri-state region.

I still find it laughable that burg folks complain about Ironton transfers while they've been getting kids from Green, Minford, South Webster, Portsmouth, Ironton, Ashland, and other schools for years. You people are hypocrites.

They are whinners they beat their chest when the was beating Ironton easily now they have to cry about Transfers.
Now that Ironton is beating them they can only cry you have transfers and we don't need to play you.
I hope Ironton quits playing Burg and just wipes them out in the playoffs every year so then they can cry they need to reclassify to Div 6             Cry baby Cry because you few Burg fans are good at it.

It won’t be long until you get enough transfers to bump you up to Division 4 or higher. That is why Harvest Prep is in D5. There student body is the size of Green. Nobody is crying… schools are dropping you or not renewing contracts due to your “transfers”.

Burg is closer to Div 4 than Ironton is you need to not only to get your facts right but your head strait.

Those CB numbers will bump you up quickly. You will be there before us. They look hard at enrollment next year so we will see where both schools are then.

Burg ALSO has been unable to make it outta their region in almost a decade. Better run. 😂💅

Word has it the Ironton/Ashland rivalry is returning. That has always been the bigger/better rivalry. Burg seems to be content shying away from good teams and just being able to beat teams like oak hill and minford. Seems like the interest in football has peaked? Maybe burgs program needs some kinda change to get em excited again. They dont play like they believe they can beat the good teams anymore. I guess that makes sense though because it looks like the fanbase at least on this forum would rather run away from a challenge. Interesting thing to teach kids.
