Madison Central Madison Central is looking for teams to play in their First Annual Roy Kidd Bowl. Very likely will be played at EKU's Roy Kidd Stadium. This will be a two year contract and will pay between $2,500 and $3,000 with t-shirts and feed your team after game. You will play a different team each year 2011 and 2012.

It is listed in Kentucky as an open date...Maybe it's filled or they are only looking to play an out of state team.

I seen it, maybe they are looking for a bigger school to play.

That is a tough schedule! If that doesn't get you prepared for the playoffs then nothing will.

Ironton overall the next ten years would be best off getting into the OVC or SOC one of the two. Other than football they fit both leagues real well and after this year in football they will fill an average team.
trust me neither league wants any part of ironton for years to come......

Ironton's football success hinges on Bob Lutz. As long as he is there, they will be good. Once he's gone, they will come back to the pack.

Right now he's coaching 2nd and even third generation players. If a kid slacks, their parents will keep them in line and make them do what they need to do. Once he's gone that will change, just like 2006.

siderman, if you remember in 2006, coach t. made the playoffs as well. i don't think the fans of ironton football will ever settle for mediocrity.IRONTON IS IRONTON FOOTBALL.

Maybe when coach Lutz hangs it up the next guy put in a passing game and they will win more of the close games that they have lost in the past when the other team stops the run and there is no passing game to respond with. I dont know just a thought.

yeah they made the playoffs. I was at that game. They were giving him heck for not being Lutz. Next year we played Rock Hill who had at least 2 good players from Ironton that transferred out. They were there to play for him.

you mean like when the state champ hartley held them to 316 rushing yards right? or the 289 the second time? Get a clue people, teams lose close games, and when Ironton loses it is blamed on Lutz's style.
