Watterson plays the best of the best. If Burg beats Watterson 28-0, they go from the good slow SEO team that can't compete with the north's speed to the team to beat in D5. Gives people in Youngstown an opportunity to do our favorite thing, compare scores

BW is 20-28 since 2012. I dont care if you play the best of the best if you're not winning whats it matter? A fine program but I honestly think Burg has a more steady program right now. BUT them darn Catholics are just a bit smarter than us corn folk down south.

Burg fans have plenty of respect for Jackson. IMO the toughest game on burgs schedule. Until next year when Hartley joins in..I personally am very happy that burg is playing up. If burg ends up 3-2 after the Jackson game i will be fine with that. I personally think burg wins 1 of the next 2. If they win both then they are better than I think.

Jackson will more than likely go 9-1. I think they are better than Chillicothe. I've been on Yappi since 2010, I get bashed for talking up local teams like Burg and Jackson

Does Burg have a good kicker now that the Lewis brothers are finally out? Seen in the highlight video, BW kicker made a nice FG. Looked like he has a good leg. If this game is a defensive battle, special teams could be the deciding factor. Burg has always excelled in that area but not sure what they have now.

My guess is BW will be very similar to Week 5 (since we are only allowed to go one week at a time lol).

We will be more athletic and explosive, they will be bigger and not as athletic and wanna pound the rock and eat up clock. At least that is what the video link above looks like to me, even though it shows passing, my guess that is a few highlights in between a lot of run plays.

Avoid turnovers or giving them cheap points and we should be ok this week.

The Burg kicker booted a 43 yarder in the rain last week against Fairland. He has the leg to make a kick if need be.


Burg just needs to go out and play there style of ball. No need to change things up. Make them stop you first on what you have been successful on so far. If they double team Holden than someone else will have to make a play. My guess is the TE will be open all night down the middle if they double Tanner. Carmichael just might have a field day catching the ball.

Lots of weapons on this Burg team. IMHO, this will be the first true test this year. Get by BW, and then get by a tough Jackson team, then we will know what this team is made of. They will still have good tests vs. Waverly and Portsmouth West this year. Great competitive schedule this year.

Several athletes on this team who may be playing at the next level. Looking forward to great weather, great football environment, and a great game vs. Columbus Bishop Friday night!
