They are whinners they beat their chest when the was beating Ironton easily now they have to cry about Transfers.
Now that Ironton is beating them they can only cry you have transfers and we don't need to play you.
I hope Ironton quits playing Burg and just wipes them out in the playoffs every year so then they can cry they need to reclassify to Div 6             Cry baby Cry because you few Burg fans are good at it.

I've been a Burg fan for years and look at the teams realistically. Burg plays good but not great. I don't know if everyone else has caught up in talent and preparation or Burg has fallen off. I don't know. As for Ironton, with success comes all the other bull that comes with it. People get butt hurt if little Johnnie don't get to play. Coach Pendleton knows what he is doing. People should leave him be.

At Ohio State

Beat
D1 - Upper Arlington
D1 - Dublin Jerome
D1 - Berea Midpark

Lost -
D2 - Columbus Desales
D? - Harrison
D1 - Berea Midpark
Harvest Prep won the state championship in 7v7 for Division 2 this summer.
A d5 won the d2 7 on 7?
Yeah, Coal Grove was the runners-up in D2 region with Prep. I am not sure how they divide schools up with 7v7 in Ohio.

I never heard of a 7v7 State Championship, is this something new? Congratulations to both though.

I agree with you Nature Pendleton has done a great job turning Ironton around he has made mistakes coaching but he has learned from them.
And yes kids want to play for him I don't think it's so much because little Johny don't get to play I believe the biggest thing is the devotion and hard work the young men have to commit to the program.
i hope Wheelersburg has a great year and wish them the best till they play Ironton but I do hope it's a good game and injury free game for both teams.

As the smart burg fans know this all runs in cycles. Burg dominated ironton for the better part of a decade I believe. Now it has swung the other way. But at some point things will like swing back your way. And best of luck this season.

I agree to an extent the thing is Ironton had some bad coaching and Burg had better coaching.
Ironton corrected that with the Pendleton hire.
Pendleton is a coach players want to play for and that has put Ironton on another level transfers and all players come to Ironton to win and get chances to play at the next level.
It maybe division 1 or 3 or NAIA at least they get a chance to further their education and football careers.
And Pendleton is the result of that happening for Ironton and their winning

Actually, throughout the entire Ironton/burg history, burg had about a 7 or 8 year window of relevancy. Ironton has OWNED the rivalry and now, that tiny window has been slammed and nailed shut for the forseeable future.

Ironton holds the edge historically and has increasingly dominated since 2023.
