Best Locker Room Songs

Post by robycop3 »

Hey, any of you current high school football players...Do ya have any fave songs ya play in the locker room just before game time to get ya fired up even more? We had the likes of the beach Boys' Be True To Your School(played by the coaches on a Silvertone record player) and Surfin' Bird(Trashmen) played by us on the same machine.

Some suggestions that I've heard from some recent players in the Tri-State:

Iron Man(Black Sabbath)

Black Dog (Led Zeppelin)

Thunderstruck (AC/DC)

Click-Click-Boom!(Saliva)

Praise (Sevendust)

The Hey Song...Rock-N-Roll, Part 2 (Gary Glitter)

Anything by ZZ Top

Bang Your Head (Quiet Riot)

Shout At the Devil, and, Louder Than Hell, both by Motley Crue

If you can listen to Shippin' Up To Boston and not want to start a fight, something is wrong with you.

Said song is used very well in the film THE DEPARTED, by the way. Irish mobsters, and all.

I think we can agree to that, RickyV.

It may cast me as a total geek, but if you listen to the third track on the soundtrack to BATMAN BEGINS (Myotis) also makes me want to smash stuff.

Wild Thing(Joan Jett/Blackhearts version, or Sam Kinison version)

Rock You Like a Hurricane(Scorpions)

My Way(Sex Pistols)

Paradise City(Guns N Roses)

Rock-N-Roll Hootchie-Koo(Rick Derringer)

Seems the #1 locker room songs in this area, all sports are

Iron Man(Black Sabbath)

and

Thunderstruck (AC/DC)

What are most of us back in the 80's?? Some of those are good but you need some harder stuff than that and some rap.

When Darkness Falls - Killswitch Engaged
The End of Heartache - Killswitch Engaged
Down with the Sickness - Distrubed
Halftime - Ying Yang Twins
Pain - Three Days Grace
Numb Encore - Linkin Park / Jay Z
Al Pacino from Any Given Sunday the one towards the end
Here Comes the Boom - POD
One - Metallica

Duuuuude, no. A song about a guy who goes balls out and becomes a quadralpalegic? Terrible choice before a football game. Extremely bad juju.

Its not like you can understand half the words they say anyways

I usuallly started out listening to some TOOL. Then as the game came closer I would crank Slipknot and Hatebreed. Usually Heretic Anthem and Wait and Bleed by Slipknot and Live for this by Hatebreed. Then to top it all off saying the Lords Prayer and walking out the door to the sound of the fans and AC/DC Hells Bells playing over the PA.
