IRONTON'S SOUND SYSTEM, WHASSUP.

Post by YOU'RE TIGER BAIT »

MAN I BOUGHT SPLIT THE POT TICKETS AND A PROGRAM. BOTH POSSIBLE WINNERS. WE'VE ALWAYS HAD SUCH GREAT SOUND, COULD NOT HEAR ANYTHING TONIGHT. AND IT WAS NOT FOR THE CROWD NOISE. NOBODY COULD HEAR IN OUR SECTION. :122248

I thought it was classy of Ironton to play O' Canada after our national anthem and raising their flag

Now..as I was listening to O' Canada ...I got to thinking...hmmmmmmmmmmm you all know how I am about them Canadians...I wonder? I wonder if we play that song backwards, what would say? hmmmmmmmmm

Paul Houston did the PA at Ironton for many years. Paul did the singing of the national anthem as well.

THAT STILL DOES NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION, AND SINCE WE HAVE A HOME GAME THE NEXT 2 WEEKS. IT NEEDS FIXED, SO PEOPLE WILL BUY ARMLOADS OF SPLIT THE POT TICKETS, AS WELL AS PROGRAMS, HOPING TO WIN. NEED TO HEAR WHATS GOING ON.

On the speakers, were they checked out before the game?I'm sure somebody checked to see if we had a working scoreboard and such.

WE SET ON ROUGHLY THE 35/40 YARD LINE CHURCH SIDE. WE COULD NOT HEAR ANYTHING. NEITHER THE SPLIT THE POT, OR THE PROGRAM WINNER. AND DID NOT HEAR BASICALLY ANY OF THE GAME ACTION.

They were trying to fix it at the half, with no luck. The scoreboard was struck by lighting so maybe it got the PA? Next week Rick is going to stand on top of the press box with a megaphone, should be plenty loud enough :122245

What was soooo funny about the sound system was I had the first number they called out of the programs and because I couldn't hear very well I was actually listening. Usually I just tune out the PA.

You obviously don't know Rick; he doesn't need a megaphone, but does need some help spelling T-I-G-E-R-S

The sound wouldn`t have anything to do with the old boiler bulding being torn down, nothing to keep the sound in the stadium.???
The field was always pretty much enclosed all the way around.

I noticed the same effect at Logan. Bill Sauer was noisy because it was nestled down in between houses and the high school buildings. The new field is out in the open and the band even seems quieter.

Good point, may need to upgrade the old system.
