I'm guessing at Chillicothe if they put in to host a game.

This one should be a war.
I favor the Burg in this one but won't be shocked either way.

Hey All,
I'm a transplanted Valley Indian who now lives in Lancaster and who's married to a former Liberty-Union Lion. Baltimore is about 9 miles (5 mins.) north of Lancaster in north central Fairfield county. I tell you all this to add my two cents worth:

First, as for where the game is played, logic would dictate that it'll be Chilli or the surrounding area due to the fact that it takes my wife and I roughly and hour to get to Chilli from Lancaster and I know that it roughly takes around an hour or so to get from the Burg to Chilli; however, don't count out places such as Circleville High School, or Logan Elm....... as previously stated it is the OHSAA.

Second, as for each team, I've seen both play this year and all I can say is that this will be a great matchup. Both teams bring a lot of talent and strength, and some speed to the game.. I know the lions like to open things up a bit with the shotgun, so that's definately something the burg will have to watch for.... I honestly don't know who'll win, but here's hoping for an injury free game on both sides of the ball....

I would much rather play at Lancaster or Jackson (of course) or Valley or Circleville than Chillicothe. I consider the seating and especially the parking to be inadequate at Chillicothe.

This should be your classic hard hitting dog fight. I can easily see this game going either way, but since I am from LU I will take the Lions.

The only thing going into this game is that either team will know anything about the other one. That's what makes the playoffs so great. You always have that chance of a first time meeting between two schools and that usually has the makings for a great game.

Good luck Pirates. It is still one and advance.

Since LU is only 5 minutes away from Lancaster, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see the game there. Like drrabbit said, I hope it's not Chilli for the simple reason of seating and parking, which I though was supposed to be a deciding factor in where these games are played. Jackson would be an ideal site for this game. LU could come right down 23 to 35 and then straight over to Jackson which is all highway and I'm sure they could make great time. It's a little farther distance for them to drive, but a much better stadium with ample parking, seating, and a turf field.

Come on OHSAA. Do both schools a favor and play this game at Jackson.

Not a fan of Circleville , If I remember , the lighting is not that great and the seating is also questionable. I would rather drive a little further and get a good site, plenty of seats and good lighting. Come on Jackson!

Looks like there are three games this upcoming weekend that would be "IDEAL" for being played at Jackson.

Burg / LU

P.West / Ready

Ironton / New Lex

Looks like at least one "river" town will get the shaft from our favorite friend... OHSAA. I've said this on other threads; don't be surprised to see one of these games at Lancaster and/or one at Groveport-Madison. Each of these sites seem to be favorites of the OHSAA in the recent past. JMO though.

Distance be damned, football tournament should be like basketball. The districts and regionals are held at OU and everyone accepts this. This time of year the football games should be played at the very nicest site available with turf field. If you are unable to make the trip, stay home and listen on the radio

Circleville would not be fair tothe Burg. It is 31.1 miles for them and 73. 9 miles for the Burg. If you are going to make it that much of a difference then they should go with Jackson, since Burg is the higher seed, but we know how that goes.

I'm just not sure where this game is going to be played now. Like DE said, Chilli is still in, so that venue is out.

What about Hillsboro? It is 87 for them and 66 for Burg. Lancaster in no way, shape or form should even be considered for this game. I'm guessing that is where the Ready-West game will be played.

I guess we'll have to wait until sometime after 2:00 today
