Any team changing schedules around in '09?

Post by carbon_dated »

Hey, they post about anything on here so I'm throwin' this topic in. Wish a new forum was created on SEOPS dealing strictly with playoff games.

Yes, NY plays Ironton next year at Ironton.

NY has the exact same schedule in '09, just change home and away:

@ Trimble
PIKETON
BERNE UNION
WELLSTON*
@ Meigs*
BELPRE*
@ Alexander*
@ Athens*
@ Ironton
VINTON COUNTY*

I heard that Gallia Academy will be playing Columbus Bishop Hartley next year. That should be a tough game.

Good for G.A. for getting a Columbus school on the schedule. I hope it is a home and home. Be safe when you go there. Get there early and park as close as you can to the field.

I havent heard anything about Fairland playing Trimble! All I know is we are playing Warren next year! ;-)We played Trimble when I was in 11th grade and we killed them!So that would have been the 1983 season I think??We also played Nelsonville York back in 77 or 78 and hung one on them as well!

Chillicothe is dropping Columbus Brookhaven and replacing them with Hamilton TWP.

The good thing is, the CAVS have 6 home games next season.

Non-League Games

08/24 Hamilton Twp.-Home 0-0-0 (First meeting between both schools)
08/31 Big Walnut-Home 1-2-0 (Big Walnut leads the series)
09/07 Wilmington-Away 9-8-2 (Chillicothe leads the series)
09/14 Zanesville-Home 3-31-0 (Zanesville leads the series)

SEOAL Games*

09/21 Portsmouth *-Home 27-41-3 (Portsmouth leads the series)
09/28 Ironton *-Home 16-15-4 (Chillicothe Leads the series)
10/05 Gallia Academy *-Away 7-4-3 (Chillicothe leads the series)
10/12 Jackson *-Home 31-11-2 (Chillicothe leads the series) :-D
10/19 Warren *-Away 1-0-0 (Chillicothe leads the series)
10/26 Logan *-Away 5-5-0 (Series tied)

You want to get playoff ready(thats if you make the playoffs)you better schledule the Columbus Schools.

If we have them on the schledule,I think theres still 1 open date for next year.

NY and Fairland have played each other four times from '76-'79:

Fairland leads all-time series 3 wins, 1 loss

1976 Fairland (A) 16-6
1977 Fairland (H) 10-0
1978 Nelsonville-York (A) 20-16
1979 Fairland (H) 22-14

Are you sure you play Ironton at home next year since we played at Chillicothe last year?

That's what the schedule says here in Chillicothe. It could be wrong? Looks like the Ironton vs Logan back to back series, except with Chillicothe in your final season in the SEOAL.

We played back to back games with Zanesville in the 2007 and 2008 seasons at their place.

Here is the 2009 schedule off the WBEX 1490 sports web site:

08/24 Hamilton Twp. Home......0-0-0 (Never Played)
08/31 Big Walnut Home............1-2-0 (Big Walnut leads the series)
09/07 Wilmington Away............9-8-2 (Chillicothe leads the series)
09/14 Zanesville Home...........3-31-0 (Zanesville leads the series)
09/21 Portsmouth * Home...27-41-3 (Portsmouth leads the series)
09/28 Ironton * Home..........16-15-4 (Chillicothe leads the series)
10/05 Gallia Academy * Away..7-4-3 (Chillicothe leads the series)
10/12 Jackson *Home..........31-11-2 (Chillicothe leads the series)
10/19 Warren * Away..........1-0-0 (Chillicothe leads the series)
10/26 Logan * Away............5-5-0 (Chillicothe is tied with Logan)
