Gallia Academy 2016
I was surprised that there wasn't a GAHS '16 thread posted on here yet, so I thought I would start one.
How will the Blue Devils look this year?
Here is the GAHS schedule in their first year of OVC play:
MEIGS
RIVER VALLEY
@ Point Pleasant
@ Chesapeake*
@ Portsmouth*
FAIRLAND*
@ Coal Grove*
ROCK HILL*
@ Ironton*
SOUTH POINT*
Smart choice to have three local rivalries for the 3 nonconference games. That should lead to nice attendance.

Re: Gallia Academy 2016
I look for the new league to get the Gallia boys more interested over the next couple of years and it will have them back in the game.

I would love to see the Blue Devils and Buckeyes play in the regular season. It hasn't happened since 1969.Orange and Brown wrote:Gallia will be at NY tomorrow night for a 7 on 7.

We'll soon see if GA has any speed. If they can hang with the Bucks I will be surprised.
Disclaimer: This is all an opinion and I am therefore hoping we can still express opinions on this site without retort.

I look for Gallia to stay down on the river, or real close, for a few yearsNYBuckeye96 wrote:I would love to see the Blue Devils and Buckeyes play in the regular season. It hasn't happened since 1969.Orange and Brown wrote:Gallia will be at NY tomorrow night for a 7 on 7.

Re: Gallia Academy 2016
Gallia Academy is now in an 8 team league. They have 3 available non-league games, and Meigs, River Valley, and Point Pleasant are basically the 3 biggest rivalry/money games that they could possibly ever schedule. I would look for the schedule to remain the same for quite a while.
Re: Gallia Academy 2016
That is a good ten game schedule. Like to see the Blue Devils upset a few this year.

Re: Gallia Academy 2016
I am unsure what these predictions of the success/failure of the Gallia Academy Blue Devils is based upon. Has anyone seen them practice, lifting weights, etc.? Are they based on last years team? I for one, did not see them play at all last year, nor have I seen them at all YET this year. So I will not be making any predictions on the outcome of their campaign this fall.
