With Prater I think Wellston would have slowed Athens' scoring down. Without him this will get out of hand quickly.

Wellston has historically been a very physical team. Even if you beat them, you will pay for it. I just dont see Athens having the cakewalk at Wellston that most think. This could easily become an upset.

I liked Athens to win this game even with Prater playing, I do expect Wellston will play well at home on senior night and keep the game closer than the Bulldog faithful would like. I never feel good going into a game against a wounded team especially with a huge game the following week, it's the classic trap game setup. Focus dogs, one game at a time.

With or without Prater, Athens wins big. Prater was essentially a non-factor in the NY game and I don't think it matters if he plays.

Anyone from Wellston have any confirmed word on the condition of Jaylen Prater? I've heard he's out but how bad is it really and how is he doing so far?

Is Germano the starting QB now? Watched the game. As a NY fan, I hope not. He is a much better QB, however, that sometimes isn't all that matters.

No, Skinner played the entire first half and Germano replaced him at halftime.

I've seen this reported also, I mean on a more personal note. How severe was the break, hopefully the young man suffered more of a mild break with short recovery needed as opposed to something that may need surgery etc.

2008 - Nelsonville-York 22-14 (game won on a pick-six late in the 4th quarter.)
2009 - Nelsonville-York 14-13 (game won on an extra point late in the 4th quarter)
2010 - Nelsonville-York 28-27 (game won on 2 long passes by NY - and then the extra point - late in the 4th quarter)

I don't know about either team winning by 2 TD's ... This game is going down to the wire - Ive watched every game by both teams (thanks to channel 15) - and they are about as evenly matched teams as I have ever seen ... At least around here anyway.

Fair enough....is the game at Athens? Athens could sneak a home playoff game if they could take em down.
