Michigan is coming down today to see him work out. This is a big thing for Caleb.

Congrats Southworth, you are very deserving. Stay focused and enjoy the process. It only happens one time in your life. Weigh out all your options and do what is best for YOU!

What coach was there to talk to him?

Sorry, I dont know the coach that talked to him. Indiana came down also, but there is a rule were either coach could not talk to him. Michigan and Indiana just talked to coach Gullion.

A college coach may speak to a high school player but theres a certain amount of time that the coach is allowed.I never heard of any coaches coming down and watching a kid do any work outs.Alot of times they talk to the High school coaches and teachers and go grab their transcripts to look at their grades and what classes that they are taking.Back in the 80's I have seen college coaches come through and watched kids practice before.

(f) April 15 through May 31, 2009, [except for (g) below]:
Four weeks (excluding Memorial Day and Sundays) selected at the
discretion of the member institution and designated in writing in the
office of the director of athletics [as provided in (1) below]:
(1) An authorized off-campus recruiter may use one evaluation to assess
the prospective student-athlete’s athletics ability and one evaluation to
assess the prospective student-athlete’s academic qualifications during
this evaluation period). If an institution’s coaching staff member
conducts both an athletics and an academic evaluation of the
prospective student-athlete on the same day during this evaluation
period, the institution shall be charged with the use of an academics
evaluation only and shall be permitted to conduct a second athletics
evaluation of the prospective student-athlete on a separate day during
this evaluation period.
