South Gallia and the TVC
South Gallia and the TVC
Is this option back on the table? I heard it may be. Has anyone else heard anything?

The SOC would be a much better fit for South Gallia, but it's obvious the SOC isn't interested.
I really can't understand why the SOC won't let them into the league.

I still think Wahama, Hannan, Buffalo, and SG should be talking. Even if they start with only 4, they can always expand. You gotta start somewhere.
Re: South Gallia and the TVC
I think getting into a conference would be best period. If its the TVC then so be it. Its a solid confernce. The SOC is not going to happen as demonstrated by 6 no votes. I listed the miles to some of the SOC schools below. I didn't list Symmes Valley because I assume the two schools would continue to play no matter what the conference situation. I forgot to list Notre Dame as well so just tack a couple miles onto East and New Boston. The bottom line is that SG will be driving a no matter what. I assume Wahama will always be on the schedule as well.
Distances to some SOC schools according to Mapquest:
Oak Hill 35.6 miles
Green 45.6 miles
East 53.73 miles
Clay 64.12 miles
New Boston 56.06 mile
Western 82.04 miles
Eastern Pike 57.57 miles

Re: South Gallia and the TVC
South Gallia played five SOC schools in football in 2008:
Symmes Valley
Oak Hill
Notre Dame
Green
Sciotoville Community
The rest of the '08 grid sked:
Waterford (TVC)
Eastern (TVC)
Southern (TVC)
Wahama
Buffalo
I'll play the assumption card here and guess that the Rebels will always schedule Symmes Valley, Eastern, Southern, Wahama and Buffalo in all sports.

Re: South Gallia and the TVC
I noticed the mileage to Belpre was listed. I thought they were in the Ohio Division of the TVC? I know there are cross divisional games in some cases.
I was just wondering if this issue was back on the table. I had a couple people mention that it was and was wondering if that were the case. Doesn't sound like anyone else has heard about it so I will assume its not.

It will be interesting to see which route the TVC choses to go. There are a few alternatives in play, maybe a preference will be known after the TVC meeting.

I know the TVC did give SG a chance to get in but SG turned it down so will they actually give SG another chance to get in now?

This matter is quite simple. South Gallia wants absolutely nothing to do with playing my Lancers or the tomcats in football. Oh, and I more thing bring back the old TVC PLEASE

Im pretty sure that we have scheduled a lot better teams then either that you mentioned on our football schedule in the past and present! I dont think scared has anything to do with the issue. The main issue would be will the TVC provide enough playoff points to get in...

possible playoff points wont be a question. trimble and fed hock get in. the question will be if you can win enuff games to earn the possible points. also your non tvc schedule will matter just ask waterford.

I know I remember one year just recently like maybe just 3 years ago that they went 10-0 and did not make the playoffs. We schedule teams that are good enough to make it if we win enough right now so if we get in the TVC I'm sure that we will keep the ones on that will give us a chance to going to the playoffs if we are good enough witch ever year it may be.

That was because trimble moved up to D-5 and all of there games except for NY and Fed Hock were D-6. They couldn't do anything about it the games were already scheduled.
That didn't last long though the state decided that they were D-6 real soon after that.
