I thought this was kinda neat, seeing how it's 100 years ago this year. This is the 1909 Ironton Fighting Tiger Team Photo taken from Ironton Football Dot Com's 'History 101' section
When we get the 2009 team, I'll have to put them together...100 years later...

actually, that is the front entrance of the a building they tore down in the 1920's. The high school they just tore down, opened in something like 1921 or 22 , I think.

The photo depicts Kingsbury High School in Ironton, OH. That school building was named after Ironton City School’s first superintendent. Kingsbury High School was the city’s only public high school.
A new high school was erected on South 7th Street. It was simply called Ironton High School. The school’s alma mater, Dear Old Ironton High, was written as a tribute to the fabulous new high school that replaced Kingsbury High School.
Ironton constructed an elementary school and named it after Mr. Kingsbury.
