How did P-Town (the north version) do in Week 1?

From what I know from the last few seasons, Logan will most likely air it out and win.

I know the youngest Boren has left and he was a beast on offense and defense. Does anyone have any ideas on what Pick North has this season?

From what I can remember, my prediction:

Logan 42
P-Town 21

I think North will be the best team Logan sees in the regular season. Maybe after seeing them I'll change my mind, but I think they are a legitimate D1 playoff contender. They were 3 VERY close games away from doing that last year.

The Panthers got a big 12-7 win over Dublin Scioto tonight.

87 -

They got 3 good linemen that I know of, along with the Head Coach and defensive coordinator from Grove City.

Two of the linemen are offensive tackles and one is a D1-college caliber defensive tackle.

Good luck to the Chiefs in Week 2. Should be a pretty good game, but I think the Logan offense will be too much for the Panthers in the end. I'm taking the Chiefs by a couple scores.

91blue -

I think you'll like the new digs. I'll be joining your ranks soon, take my test on Wednesday night.

Maybe I'll come down and introduce myself before the game on Friday.

In my mind, Logan's defense and offense need to become more balanced.

Defense has good pash rush and coverage, but the run defense was not quite up to Chieftain norms.

Offensively, we need a better rushing attack. I have no problem seeing Angle drop back or scrammble, but I would like to see more traditional Logan alignments as well. Some Pro/Con-I would look good. Bring back the "Ol half back over the tackle" every now and then.

Now I know Logan ran Power I at the end of the Lancaster game and it worked exceptionally well, but we need more of it throughout the game, not just draws.

If Logan keeps its head in the game and does not look past the Panthers, I see Logan taking this game by a couple of scores.

The game is in Logan correct?

I picked Lancaster last year - and the Chieftains ruined my chance of the winning the contest ... I don't want to make the same mistake twice with P-north ... I did get the Logan/Lancaster game right this year though .. ... But in terms of this Pickerington game, im not sure ... I have read all the Dispatch stuff on Columbus High School football and every review/oppinion/prediction had P-North as a team to either "watch out for" or had them as "the surprise team of 09" ... Anytime a good size school from the Columbus area is touted or proclaimed to be a playoff contender - you better watch out and better come ready to play -

If Logan does that (and plays with the old chip on their shoulder like they use too against the 'Big City Schools') ... then they will be fine I.M.O

If they believe they're all world and can just show up Friday ... I say Pickerington North 28, Logan 27

This is IMO could be the toughest game on our schedule..but if Logan keeps there heads in the game and doesn't make many mistakes..Angle and Co. shouldn't have a problem...Logan 27 Pickerington North 17. GO CHIEFS!
