I hope Notre Dame comes out with the upset just because of this post

Even though there are many perceived matchup advantages for Greenup. Its still KY football

I equate the size and enrollment difference in the schools to that of the movie "Hoosiers" Go Hickory!

Someone who has some time on their hands should effort the enrollment of each school.

Who would you pick to win if your offensive line looked like this vs the small TNT's and DE's of ND?

Greenup County

#55 John Harr 6'6" 285 Jr
#50 JJ Caudill 6'3" 240 Jr
#62 Jake Abrams 5'10" 260 Jr
#64 Cole Potter 6'4" 280 Jr
#58 Nick Tackett 6'1" 240 Soph

I would definitely go with Greenup obviously. No reason to down the other team and players. Remember these ARE kids! Even if it is a ridiculous match up no reason to put it in such harsh terms I mean even the picture is harsh enough ha-ha-ha

It really isn't fair at all but don't make these kids feel it any worse then they are going to be feeling it Friday night :122248 :122248 :122248

How mature and clever of you. Whether its football, basketball, hockey lacrosse, even rugby.. kids still don't like reading about people downing them. Especially when it's most likely adults. just ridiculous. period.

I have my opinion on the post and you have yours. Everyone has a different outlook on things.

What made the Muskeeteers so mighty all of a sudden? They lost to Ashland 51-7 and Russell 37-0 the first two weeks. The Notre Dame kids will give it all they've got! Even if Greenup wins, what have they gained?

That's an absolute load of crap. . . one week you're helping to pound a team into submission, 51-7, and two weeks later you can just switch to the other team?
Complete hogwash.

Ashland and Russell have far superior numbers and athletes to Notre Dame.

One of those Ashland athletes is Rashard Carter. He might be eligible for the game against Notre Dame.

So, what is your point!?! Greenup has struggled for years not being able to keep up with any school in football. All smaller schools have less numbers and athletes. Greenup is the same school!

Greenup had three (3) wins last season. They defeated 4A Rowan County 19-18, Rowan was 4-7 on the year. They beat 4A Lawrence County 19-0, Lawrence was 0-11 last year. The final game they won was against 3A Lewis County 46=6. Lewis was 1-9 for the season. Greenup County is 4A.

Some of the losses were to 3A Russell, 1A Raceland, 4 A Boyd County and 3A Mason County.

Greenup County missed going to the State Semifinals in 2007 in 4A in KY by losing 31-30 to Harrison County.[/quote]

A Kentucky school can make the playoffs winning very few games in District and Regional competition.
Greenup was 5-8 that year.

dumb game for ND to agree to play. GC football has pretty much been a joke. But due to sheer size and numbers they will overwelm ND . Wish our kids the best --play your hearts out and pray for no injuries.

What was GC's record heading into the playoffs in 07 ?? (discussing the lunacy of the KY playoff system deserves it's own thread ---on BGP or KGP or CBS , somewhere other than here)

I would consider at 5-8 team as struggling. Go Notre Dame........do your best!

just for fun I'll throw out my prediction GC 46 ND 6 I have not seen GC play but I'd guess they get well this week after getting drubbed in weeks 1and 2 .

ND wil have to be much improved on O to move the ball any at all. Noel had a fantastic game and bailed ND out on a couple plays where his height/ability overcame the defender. I'd guess that might not be the case against GC.

To stay closer ND will have NOT throw picks, be sucessful in the short passing game, protect the QB (might be a big problem) and some how slow down GC running game. Put 9 in the box ? 2 safeties ? maybe 10 in the box GC will NOT THROW. MD

Is this reverse psychology? I will be rooting for ND to go 2-0 on the year.........good luck.
