We've had misty rain, heavier at times, last night and most of the day today here in Ironton. The pre-game show has just started on the radio.

Wouldn't that be sweet if Ironton could pull the upset and beat Logan. I would love to see Paladin have to eat his words. :-D

Whats the record for most penalties in a game?
Im not blaming our loss on the Refs by no means.
Logan beat us period.
But,and Im sure Logan fans will agree those guys calling this game were at best

SEOAL league games are assigned by some guy from who knows where. I'm sure its another one of those buddy system things. Ironton did'nt have anything to do with those guys being out there. I wont go into what my personal opinion of this particular crew is other than its probably the same as what anyone who watched the game would be.

Actually this crew was so bad I was embarrassed for them. This crew took away from the fine effort of the Tigers this evening.

Two good programs, good game. It's a shame when both sides think the officiating is bad.

I left the Burg/RH game at half and watched this from 2nd half till end. Officiating was ok. There was a trip, pretty visible, on an Ironton player that wasnt called and right in front of a ref. Also, there was holding by a Logan player on #44 on a run for 1st down that wasnt called by the refs. So i say the Ironton refs were pretty normal. Nice throw by Angle to the receiver for the go ahead TD. Right on the money. Smack time. Did I say smack time? How about Lutz last intercepted pass when he didnt have to pass?? Killed me. Ironton matched up very well vs Logan and I dont understand that call. 1st and ten at ur own 30-35 (couldnt tell) and you throw a fade route against Logan? Speed?? Run the ball!! THats what you do to get INTO a position to throw that kindof pass. I love ironton football and when I saw how good they were doin against Logan, I thought they had the win. WOW!
Go Ironton!!! U still can run the table and get another chance at glory this year. GREAT team!!

dem,

i can only assume you are blowing smoke. Logan clearly domnated Ironton in the fourth quarter. Ironton was tired at the end of the game and it was obvious.

If you thought the officiating was ok you are a closet Tiger fan.

A very good defensive game by the Fighting Tigers. I liked the effort on the D side. With all teams ironton plays, stacking the box, Ironton is really going to have to get inovative on Offense.

I was disappointed by the Logan crowd. These kids from Logan are undefeated and probably headed to another SEOAL crown and playoff berth, and noone from Logan comes to the game? I can understand if the team was 2-2 or something. The kids from Logan deserved better.

Officials were assigned by the SEOAL. I dont know who does that, but there certainly needs to be someone from the conference, who evaluates all sets of officials. I did not think it effected the outcome of the game.

Logan is to be commended on the defensive gameplan. They stacked the box, because they knew ironton could not pass. That will be the "MO" all year vs. The Tigers.

I have to say, didnt think that Logan was as good as advertised. maybe they were a bit overconfident. There will be much work to do for Logan to get out of their region. I have seen Louisville play, and they will be extremely tough to beat.

I big Logan well. Hopefully they can make a run in the playoffs. Lets go Fighting Tigers. Lets get the fight back and go back to work. Win the rest and play at home in the playoff game.

A: Congrats chieftains on a perfect record against ironton during their short stay in the SEOAL. :122245 :122245 :122245

B: Great effort by the tigers. I'm no ironton fan, at all, but they played a great game.

C: Officiating was just disgusting. If it seemed awful for you Ironton fans, it was twice as bad for the Logan side. I know it always seems that way, but I think we were playing against 16 people through the 3rd quarter.

D: The drive to Ironton was the worst ever. SO, glad they hadn't entered the league before I Graduated... and before you start complaining about our lack of fan support, I would waiger to say that by the time there was approx 3min's left on the clock, half or more of the Ironton stands had already started to file out. Great support. It's a home game for pete sakes. Stay and support your kids till the end.

E: And before we start picking out specific incidents where crap was goin on on the field and it wasn't called. I bet I could give you a list that would make your toes curl. So please, don't even begin on personal fouls, b/c we all know that, that was one of the many flag's we expected after each play, and for the most part I saw Ironton trying tirelessly to bait logan. Don't think I can count on two hands the number of times, (and i won't name numbers), I saw an Ironton player flop to the ground after the whistle had blown, looking around with his hands up in the air, looking for a call. Please, get up and play football.

Also, could of sworn some angry Ironton fan was in a semi goin 20 mph on 93 from Ironton to Jackson hehe   I kid. I kid.

They won't be so tough to beat without Swigert! :122245 But as I said elsewhere..it didn't seem like the Chiefs were playing to their full potential IMO. They are much better than that. Overconfident? Maybe Wet field? Maybe..I don't know..but the true Chieftains did not show up IMO. Dropping balls and everything...all the penalties...that's just not the Chieftain team we've seen all year.
