Lakeland has risen to #10 in the nation.
DLS lost at Don Bosco in New Jersey last week.

#9 McRoy is Lakeland's best player, but has a nicked ankle.
Might be fun to watch this game. Just started at 10pm EST

Lakeland tied it up right at the half, couple of clutch plays by McRoy.
4th qtr., still 21-21, Lakeland player took a vicious crackback block and has been taken off on a stretcher after laying on his back 15 minutes. The DLS crowd could be heard saying a prayer outloud for the kid as they carefully took him to the ambulance.

I hope that kids alright. He wasnt moving or anything. You like to see good hits, but you never want tosee anybody carted off on a strecher.

Eyes were really puffy, kind of swollen after a hit to the upper chest area. I dont know what that means unless he was already puffy in the first place. Hope he is ok!!

So overtime possessions start from the 10 yard line in California? Can't say that I like that very much.

De La Salle goes for two and the win in OT and gets stopped. Tough way to lose such a good football game.

Lakeland 31 - De La Salle 30

That was worth staying up late to see.
I think Florida has the same O.T. rules. I'm not crazy about it either, I think its called Kansas tiebreaker system or something like it.
What are Ohio's O.T. rules ?

Each possession starts at the 20 yard line in Ohio. I think that gives the defense a much better chance to make a stop or at least force a tougher field goal.

The national federation rule says go from the 10. OHSAA has its own rule and it is from the 20. I like the OHSAA rule much better. However, many states, even Kentucky, uses the National Federation rule.
