OVC Coal Grove (5-1) @ South Point (1-5)

Post by fuzzhead »

Coal Grove starts a 3-game road stretch this coming friday and they'll be looking to make it 3 in a row over their ach-rivals, the Pointers.

Thoughts?

Got to go with the Hornets on this one.
I am getting a little concerned about where they end up in the Playoff picture. It looks like with the few points they are getting with their wins, they can not afford a stumble at all through the end of the season. The Hornets MUST use this to keep motivated for every game. The conference records just isn't helping them much at all this season.
Keep up the drive Hornets.

The Fairland vs Coal Grove game could be a "WINNER TAKE ALL" scenario,Playoffs and a conference title could be on the line in week 10!Neither team can slip up though!

If South Point plays the way they did against RV, CG will win by at least 4 touchdowns. . . that being said, Coal Grove needs to come out and take it to them like the rivals they are.

The Grove and Fairland just need to keep playing their game and everything will be fine! Both teams must stay focused though and not get caught up in the fact that the teams they are going to be playing have a losing record!Teams with losing records are genarally a hungry team looking to ruin somebodies good season!

I'm gonna take CG by atleast 4 td's.
They will rack up atleast 400 yards on the ground..
And they should let ferguson throw the ball around some more.

I agree with this statement, we need to come out this week and throw it and throw it often, the passing game is what has really got the offense going the past two weeks and we need to come out strong in this game. The running game has lost its pep so to speak, and I believe if we come out throwing the ball and making South Points defense spread out to defend the pass then the running game may go a little better.

TTT, I would have thought FORREST's advice would have driven you away from picking the Hornets. 8)

Very interesting pick, mattash!
This has been the best game on the OVC the past two years. They are the two most storied teams in the OVC.
IMORO, this is Coal Grove's biggest rival.

Thanks Fuzz! I still have goosebumps replaying in my mind the "GOAL LINE STAND" on that 2pt conversion try last night when Minford stuffed them.

Whats the word????

The word is that Coal Grove has three straight games on the road against teams that have a combined record of 1-17 and who are going to treat a visit from the Grove like their Super Bowl! There is room for a let down. The Grove needs to keep their ears pinned back and keep rolling.
