Slone is putting up some ridiculous stats each week. Anyone have season totals for him through Week 8?

Patrick Angle, Logan

14-26 passing for 213 yards and 2 TDs

16 rushes for 74 yards and another TD running

Also played a great game defensively at linebacker.

Jesse Slone- Oak Hill

Ok I got some stats for Jesse Slone from TheTelegramNews

Last night's game he had 285 yards passing, 15-19 completions, for 4 touchdowns. Including a 43 yard TD pass. That was all just in the first 2 quarters alone.

He has over 1,500 yards this year with one interception. Not sure how many TD's he has just this season but a career total of 51.

Saw Sloan as a little leaguer, and saw then he could be something special I believe he gets my vote.

The kids around him have to be goodun's also, he can't catch what he throws.

Ok, I gotta ask. What is the significance of the dollar bill?

Jackson's Morgan Dobbins for winning the Division II State Golf Championship.

(Last year Alexander's Volleyball Team was Week 12 Player of the Week, so it's obvious that the player of the week award is not just for football)

I would have to nominate South Point running back Doug Dillon. He had 311 yards rushing on 31 carries and four touchdowns against Fairland.

I'd say Shay Netter for his defensive play against Jackson the other night. This kid had 25 tackles and has 309 career high school tackles a coach told me and he still has 2 more games to go. Not only was he all over the field he played QB too!!! I finally got to see this kid play the other night and all I can say what a great athlete not only giving hits but also taking hits. His team maybe strugging this year but he played a great game. Who ever gets him at the next level will have found a diamond in the rough. Great game young man!!!! It was a pleasure watching you do your thing!

I second Warpig's nomination. It's not too often that SE Ohio sees a State Champion.

What a great accomplishment for Morgan!

keeping it real,

I said after the Jackson-Chillicothe game that it seemed like Netter was in on every tackle. I wasn't far off. What an outstanding defensive effort in addition to playing a solid game at QB.

I heard the Oaks were going to play Monroe Central but I'm not for sure. But I would love to see the Burg come up and play the Oaks here at Davis Stadium.
