Kirk Maxwell 700+ rushing and passing

how bout the full back from huntington he averages 10 yards a carry plus threw for a td he has 6tds by his self i think he should get all svc as well as dylan gragg the linebacker he need 6 more tackles to make it 100 on the year and both hettinger boys should get 2nd team all svc they got alot of tackles to :-D

I think this is the numbers
1st 5
second- 4
third -3
fourth-3
fifth- 2
sixth -2
seventh-1
eighth-1

Coaches place the individuals on the board who they want for these positions.
To make BOY, LOY, DLOY, DBOY you have to be on the board. If one of the players is seleveted of the board for a special award then the coach can replace that player with another selection. Kicker of Year and Special Teams player do not have to be on the original board. I am not sure of the numbers but sure this is how the system works.

i wish they would get rid of all the individual awards
i think the parents get more worked up over it than the kids do

Two horse race.... Williamson 120yds rushing 264 passing vs Redstreak.
Maxwell will probably get it and deservingly so but an arguement can be made for Vinnie.
I got to see this kid last night and was very impressed.

How many games did Maxwell not play the second half or 4th quarter?

I respect their coach for not leaving him in or his stats would have been even more impressive.

I think he sat out almost all of the second half of 3 or 4 games.

Bottom line he is a great leader and player and deserves to win the award.

Good ole boy system will put Maxwell in this spot. I think he is very deserving and a great leader but this is supposed to be back of the year not leader or "back of the year for the team that wins the league".

Vinnie Williamsons stats are double Maxwells. He has over 2000 yds passing and 1000 yds rushing. If I'm not mistaken, only 3 kids have accomplished this...this year. How can he not get back of the year with that fact?

Vinnie Williamsons stats are double Maxwells. He has over 2000 yds passing and 1000 yds rushing. If I'm not mistaken, only 3 kids have accomplished this...this year. How can he not get back of the year with that fact?

1. He didn't lead his team to a league title.
2. He didn't lead his team to go undefeated in league play
3. He didn't lead his team to a state playoff bid.
4. His team lost the head to head match up.

That being said he's a fine football player,but Maxwell winning this award shouldn't be an issue.

Football is a team sport. If this was leader of the year...Maxwell. I'm sure you won't agree but look at it this way, put Williamson on ZT...same record and results...Put maxwell on Westfall...5-5...

I will agree with you ,but the powers that be lessen the award somewhat by usually giving it to the winning team even if their back was not the best in the league.

Both kids are deserving. Good choice.
