GAHS has a good place kicker so we might be able to score
70-3 Ironton

Don't know if this is the week I would be wanting to play the Tigers after their loss to Ashland.

Yeah. Lutz will starve those kids until Friday and then tell them dinner will be served at Memorial Field in Gallipolis.

we ain't gonna win another game turning the ball over like that, the sad part is ironton dominated the line of scrimmage and may have even had more yards than ashland when the stats come out. but it means nothing if you lose the ball.

Good point, YTB. I was surprised at the final score.

Exactly.

This was one of the most misleading final scores that I can recall. I believe that there was a total of 1 punt in the whole game, and it came late in the 4th qtr.

Blue Devils not scared, come on up and strap 'em up. Ironton fans, you come too.

I hope Gallia Academy continues to play Ironton for many years regardless of the outcome of the games.

I was so impressed with the play of Ironton's Tyler Kratzenburg in last night's game against Ashland. As bitter as the defeat taste this morning, I see good things coming out of that game for the Tigers in the future

i feel the same way tuck, he pulled them out of numerous situations last night , with very good fakes on the option. ironton will rebound after this. and be right back in the saddle.

Nice victory for the blue this week.. Had a good time talking to Pappy and his son. Seem like good people and true blue devil fans…. The blue finally came out of their offensive funk in the first half… mixed up the passing & run and finally started throwing the ball down field.. Threw a couple of nice routes to the tight end and this passing opened up our running game.. Offensive line did a better job picking up the blitz but still has room for improvement… Defense played a solid game, Marietta beat us on the option a few times and we need to make sure we clean up these mistakes…. Playing I-town after a loss is not the ideal situation.. We all know that I-town cannot afford another loss with the killer schedule they have ahead of them!!!! Hopefully the blue can keep it close in the first half and pull out some kind of miracle in the second half….. On another note I heard from a very reliable source that we are dropping I-town & Marietta from our schedule next year.. Also heard we are picking up Fairland for one of the games… Has anyone else heard this…?

i have heard this is last year for marietta. it is my understanding with new conference they are the ones not interested in continuing. their replacement is hard to tell i will not be surprised if it is a ovc team though since they are losing river valley and several of them will have open weeks.

Hey 78.... Don't take this as fact yet.... If I were to tell ya my source you would agree it is pretty reliable..... Fairland is a D-4 team..... Cut off between D-3 & D-4 is 242 boys......Fairland has 235 & Gallia Has 258...... Also I wonder if we will keep Licking Heights on the schedule?

Trading D2 Marietta for D4 Fairland? Maybe we can trade D4 Ironton for a D6 program.
