Congratulations to the lifters. Well deserved. Do you have the results for everyone else? Or at least area teams? I'm not sure if Minford went, but I'd be interested in the other teams as well.

Sorry, but power lifting is a stand alone sport, and some of the boys that lift dont even play football, and im pretty sure none of the girls at piketon play football.lol

I agree. Powerlifting is it's own sport. But i think it's great to have football players powerlift. However, this IS the football forum

I would like to see the state meet get rid of the knee wraps and squat suits and find out who really is the strongest team in the state. State meet would be 3 hours shorter if all you wore was a belt. I am not bashing on those that use it, it helps and it's legal, but it's just my opinion. Chalk and belts only!

FYI, Minford is now in Kenton, Ohio competing against Division 1-3 Powerlifters.

Minford: 3 gold metals and a State Champion for the second year in a row, Minford did do very well as they produced the strongest kid in the state in the 195lbs class.

Back when me and JE ran the program for he Eagles we had some pretty darn good power lifters. I don't even think anyone lifts there any more these days.
