Waverly cannot have a letdown after a hard fought punch for punch loss to a very good Wheelersburg team.
If the Tigers go to work this week understanding they were one bad snap away from possibly beating arguably the best team they have faced and beaten in 10 years they should be ok.
No one on their schedule is anywhere near that caliber.

Tigers have to study the film and gave a great week of practice. It's Senior night so I look for these guys playing their last "regular season" game on this field to not have a letdown. TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS!

West has a good defense. Can the offense move the ball well enough to give the defense a chance is the thing? West hung in there with Raceland who runs basically the same offense. Waverly probably has a couple better receivers but Raceland has a really good quarterback, running back, and line. Waverly is the more experienced team and is very good. That offense on that turf is tough. But West is much better than the record indicates.

Tigers by 40. Waverly's offense is probably the best in southern Ohio. Tigers with too much speed for the senators.

West comes in with some momentum and confidence after their convincing victory over Valley. I'm guessing they will try to run the ball down our throats. Waverly can't afford a letdown. But that is so much easier said then done after the emotional game against Wheelersburg. Tigers will definitely have to be ready to play.

The defense is solid but they will need to tweak the way the DB's have been playing. To much cushion!!

West looking at back to back 4 and 6 seasons. I don't think they thought with the coaching change they would be in that position 2 years in a row.

It is what it is. Small school, injuries, transfers, you name it. These things come in cycles. This young team will learn from this experience and be back. For the most part, West has a proud and successful football tradition and is the last area team to actually win a state semifinal playoff game and play for the state championship. Could be worse......

Exactly. West is basically platooning now and will return around 18 starters next year plus 3 really good players that got hurt this year. Freshman bunch is really coming into their own too. Johnson is really just now getting juniors and seniors that are familiar with his system. Future looks bright.
