That's funny as heck!

I thought the Ironton comeback against Ashland was one of the greatest and...seeing how Ashland had about 15 college age fans standing behind the Ironton fans mocking Ironton the whole game...it was even funnier. I can still remember seeing them quietly sneaking out the gate

OVCfan...totally agree...Was sitting on the SH side of the field and at the half, alot of smack talking going on. Mogadore ran the 2nd half opening kick back and then the track meet was on.

That's the biggest one I've ever seen in person at the high school level.

How Rick Mayne never got a big time gig as a play by play guy, is beyond me. As I listen to some of the ones Marshall has had...geesh! Rick is awesome on play by play. I love this quote from that game from Mayne:
"Hello Tiger Alley! The victory bell will ring long and loud tonight."

Yeah, I like that a bunch myself. An 'Ironton Classic' if there ever was one. The limited sound bytes from this doesn't really detail just how huge of a comeback it was. I have forgotten the details but Ironton was being humilated the first half

The year would have been 1992. Portsmouth was really solid and they were playing at home. I have a thought that Jermon might have been a little banged up that game, but anyway, Ironton was down 14-0 in this game and a jermon kickoff return (maybe to start the 2nd half) got Ironton close. I know Ironton scored in the 4th quarter to tie the game at 14. Ironton then blocked a game winning field goal at the end of regulation. Ironton won 20-14 in overtime.
