Post by boilermaker »

Its been a long time since these two schools have played each other. I think 1977?

It's gonna be another dog fight for the rockets this week. Haven't seen fairland play, but i'm sure they are tough as usual despite their record. It's okay because wellston is tough and should rebound from the oak hill loss.

Wellston really surprised me with their effort against the Oaks. They could've easily rolled over but refused to give up.

The days of giving up or quiting are over. This coaching staff will not allow it! The Rockets are in a new era !

You can quote me on this. Wellston's coaches will have the rockets ready to play despite the opposition. There was no quit in the rockets last night despite the seemingly overwhelming odds. Hutchinson and staff have done an outstanding job of coaching the rockets this year despite the record. I was really proud of the heart and effort of these young men. It's been a tough start and wellston has played some really good teams so far and have played hard each and every week. I was also glad to see the wellston fans out in full force last night to show their support.

Anyways, looks like fairland is in the same boat as wellston as far as records go. Of course this won't mean anything come friday night. I look for another tough battle and the team who wants it more is going to win this game. I hope someone posts some information about fairland on the thread. LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!

Wellston by two scores. Fairland needs to cut down on turnovers...

Wellston gets back to the winning side of things in Week 5 and give Minford some added second level pts.

Rockets get back on track this week, we need a win before conference play. If Osborne is the QB, wellston by 21.

Wellston did not have to have a strong pass rush. Their defensive backs played a great game and covered well. I believe Oak Hill had well under 100 yards passing. Their D-line were cutting up front for the run game, so the only way you will get pressure on the QB is by blitzing your LB's. And that can hurt you against the run and you will get killed by the screen. Just my opinion. Both teams played a great game and I look forward to watching both in the future. But this week I have to say Wellston over Fairland by 14.

Fairland's QB (#4) is very fast and will run the ball a lot. He is small but very tough, but that is about all they have.
