That's a little far to travel for a scrimmage.

Have to give the Burg props for playing a team like Ready, on the road even if it is a scrimmage game.

The talent they face in this scrimmage will be better than any they face during the season, and that is taking anything away from the talent they will see during the season.

NCF - your talking about Bishop Ready..... That could stimulate a lot of debate on here. :122245 :122245

Does anyone know when this scrimmage is being played and where?

I will be in Columbus on the 11th and was wondering if it was then.

i would be willing to bet that the burg will see just as good of talent in a game situation against either ironton or jackson as they will see in the scrimmage against ready. great tradtion up there at bishop ready, with a state championship to their credit. i know you cant compare who played who during the schedule but burg has played very competitively with ironton year in and year out and ironton with hartley the last few years. this will be a good scrimmage. i agree its hard to believe wheelersburg is willing to travel this far for a scrimmage though.

then what

Don't ask anything about what goes on with Burg. Evidenlly no one goes to the scrimmages, or they don't know how to post a report or even read them for that matter. If you want to read about football go to the Ironton or West posters.

I am guessing everyone will find out in a week if the burg has anything.

I am a Falcons fan, but I found this posting from a Ready fan on JJ:

"Wheelersburg started out the game decent.. QB is great when he keeps the ball. Had a td and an int. The defense on the other hand looked pretty bad. After the first 2 series Ready had them completely figured out and was running and passing at will. Ready won the scrimmage 20-17 but starters were pulled when it was 20-10 (Burg had a junk td with a min left in the scrimmage). The Knights never even tried running the ball to the right bc they were getting 10+ yards everytime they swept it left and the Burg never stopped it."

Hope this helps.

I learned long ago not to read to much into a scrimmage game, good or bad.
